Job Purpose and Impact

The Portfolio Project Analyst I, will track the strategic portfolio of projects and programs across the functions including projects and data fields standardization, intake and value case guidelines, developing prioritization criteria and methods based on the enterprise strategy.

In this role, you will provide visibility into the business's project portfolio, reports and collaborate with key stakeholders.

You will gather data for portfolio reporting, build data information dashboard, ensure data quality and consistency, support stakeholders in project management system and analyze data for ad hoc requests.

Key Accountabilities

  • Identify improvements and simplifications to project portfolio management processes and implement the processes.
  • Integrates technical applications and systems to research and analyze project data and other relevant data and information to be used for portfolio management.
  • Prepare reports and materials using defined procedures for use by stakeholders.
  • Analyze and interpret data and information from project processes to develop and produce metrics including leading and lagging, quantitative and qualitative and process performance and process compliance metrics.
  • Collaborate with other process stakeholders to deliver value from people, process and data and technology system improvements and track development progress and business readiness efforts and identify value opportunities through optimization initiatives.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

  • Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or Management Information Systems; OR equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English (must)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • IT experience
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Experience with management reporting
  • Experience with operational metrics / reporting tools (Power BI and Tableau)
  • Process Improvement Experience
  • Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
  • Internship or training in project management, project delivery process or portfolio management
  • Experience using project management and analytical tools
  • PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES

  • Experience creating and presenting reports.
  • Experience doing data analysis.
  • Project or internship working with project methodologies.
