The Amazon Global Selling (AGS) is looking for a Sales Manager to build and lead a large new sales organization in Costa Rica.
The AGS organization plays a pivotal role in driving global expansion of US Sellers and accounts for nearly half of Amazon’s total unit sales.
This is a high-visibility role in Seattle and WW, this person will be the single-threaded leader for our Costa Rica sales team of at least 20 Account Managers, and will report directly into our Seattle HQs.
This role is scoped to become a Manager of Managers as the team grows in Costa Rica.
The team of Account Managers lead by this person will focus on recruiting and growing top existing US-based Sellers into Amazon’s WW marketplaces, including : Europe, Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Turkey and Singapore.
This Sales Manager will work across US categories and drive Seller business growth. This person will also work cross-functionally with the Category Teams and Product teams across Amazon’s Third Party (3P) business, ensuring that critical feedback continues to influence product road-maps.
Build a world class team of strategic Account Managers focused on delivering high-impact results
Manage stakeholder relationship with our larger Seattle-based sales organization. Coordinate with US AGS Leadership on sales strategy and goals for each of the distinctive regions we support.
Serve as primary interface with internal teams including Product Managers, Category Management, and Program Management to align programs and initiatives that drive growth for Sellers WW
Establish partnerships with internal teams to manage joint selling opportunities
Model and forecast business metrics to make strategic decisions that grow key Seller accounts
Develop weekly metrics to track critical inputs / outputs and report out to senior management in weekly business reviews and regular flash reports
Analyze trends, diagnose root cause of performance, and create actionable plans for operational improvements
Conduct deep dive analysis on issues affecting Seller performance and provide Voice of the Seller input for product development and process improvement
Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English language
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with business development and leading a sales or acount management team
E-Commerce industry or related industry experience
Enterprise Sales or Account Management experience
Highly consultative and solution-oriented
Analytical skill and highly data driven
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity
Experience with international trade and / or logistics
Additional language capability a plus (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin)
