As a Financial Analyst , you will
Accountable for financial accounting, management reporting, and statutory reporting for Costa Rica business unitLead local monthly financial close process, and liaise with global Finance team on close deliverablesLiaise directly with global Finance team for consolidated global accounting, intercompany transactions, and reportingLead and manage all local statutory reporting obligations including Procomer monthly, quarterly, and annual filingsLiaise with local Costa Rica accounting firm to complete Procomer statutory reporting obligationsDirectly support local Costa Rica senior and operational management by leading financial analysis on revenues, operating expenses, and overhead expensesLead asset management process for Costa Rica business unit, including processes, controls, and reporting as required by ProcomerPreparation of annual budgets, both capital and operatingPreparation of periodic financial operating forecastsPreparation of individual P&L models for annual budget process,Perform balance sheet and income statement, account analysis, and prepare related working papers.
Proactively communicate with key business players on financial resultsEnsures that internal controls are applied as well as makes recommendations for process improvementsAd-hoc reporting and participation in departmental projectsFacilitate the identification / development and delivery of best practicesWork closely with finance team to develop best practicesEvaluate processes from a quality perspectiveCommunicate and present best practices to senior managementOther duties as assigned
2+ years minimum or more of experience in financial accounting, analysis or reporting as well as Local Compliance (Procomer Regulations) and statutory obligations, Free Trade Zone Regime, fixed assets and tax processesExperience in BPO, multicurrency consolidation and trust accounting would be an asset.
Bachelor s Degree or in progress in Accounting, Finance or relatedGood level of English, both written and verbal (B2+)Good knowledge of finance and accounting principles and conceptsGood knowledge of PC desktop applications, including MS ExcelGood problem solving and analytical skills
