Finance Transformation Office ( FTO’) has been setup in 1Q 2021 to conceptualize, plan, drive and manage execution of many streams of Transformation Initiatives across Citi’s Finance organization globally.

These Initiatives touch all of Citi businesses and functions within ICG and GCB and are categorized into 5 key areas Finance Data, Financial Book & Records, Stress Testing & Business Planning, Financial Reporting and Financial Resource Management functions (such as Capital Planning, IRR, Liquidity etc.

There are numerous programs and projects under the umbrella of each Initiative which will need to be successfully executed over the coming 24-36 months to achieve desired target state operating model.

Program Co-ordination team is being created under the FTO PMO structure and will play vital role in facilitating successful execution of the agenda of these Transformation Initiatives and its governance.

The individual in this role will work as part of the overall FTO, collaborating with each initiative team, business / function, Technology partners, Regional teams and the Transformation Program Office ( TPO’) of overall Citi CAO team, to co-ordinate and track actions towards achieving the overall transformation goals and operating model.

Responsibilities will include :

  • Help build the PMO co-ordinating aspects of the FTO from the ground-up, including building and establish process, systems and governance
  • Work with the 5 Initiative teams in coordinating the development of comprehensive transformation plans across all geographies and portfolios
  • Ensure development of detailed project plans along with intra-dependencies (within Finance) and inter-dependencies (with other Program Groups, Technology teams and businesses).
  • Establish rigorous metrics for tracking and reporting progress vs the approved plan in terms of time and budget
  • Establish and follow weekly cadence for management status dashboards to provide early executive visibility and to ensure quality of submissions to regulators as per overall timelines.
  • Ensure senior stakeholders and sponsors within Finance are regularly engaged for input / consultation, communicating any emerging risks, resource constraints and corresponding mitigation plans.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution across teams and jumpstart stalled deliverables, by identifying and removing barriers and driving issues to timely resolution, in a collaborative manner and through appropriate escalation if necessary.
  • Develop appropriate framework for change management, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans with CAO / TPO, across the project teams.
  • Communicate to a wide variety of audiences from stakeholders, peers, management, and sponsors
  • Qualifications :

  • 10+ years’ experience in Citi businesses or Finance areas with a broad understanding of and familiarity with operational risk and controls, including concepts, tools and trends relating to risk identification, mitigation and reporting
  • 5+ years’ experience for leading large / complex projects across countries and / regions, while continuing to be hands on and in the trenches to achieve tactical goals
  • Have a positive mind-set and a sense of strategic vision while exercising sound judgement to align with Citi’s long-term interests and to ensure risks are well managed
  • Organizational awareness with the proven ability to develop project plans and drive a diverse group of stakeholders and teams to achieve milestones and deadlines in a collaborative manner
  • Results-driven with a strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong financial management, analytical and budgeting skills
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, execution oriented with strong attention to detail
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences including executive level
  • Excellent computer skills with literacy in MS office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Consulting or strategic advisory background will be a plus
  • Education :

  • Bachelor’s / University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree
