Position Summary : Serves as single point of contact for driving quality releases. Proactively ensures all issues are resolved across all functional areas (Development, Quality Assurance, Operations, etc.
by assigning ownership and through processes. Facilitates and develops process for providing information on release status, issues, and progress.
Responsible for managing releases of software through the development lifecycle, including project planning, quality management, issue and risk management.
Provides improvements to improve quality and speed of releases and types of releases. This role will also project manage larger scale cross department projects for process / tooling improvements.
Facilitate project / release planning, timeline, scheduling, and scope definition
Drive projects against project plan and document discrepancies
Measure and monitor progress to ensure project / release deliverables are completed on-time and within budget
Track and communicate relevant project / release metrics, status, and issues
Drive project quality plan and enforce overall program quality approach
Facilitate quality checkpoints, handoffs and reviews
Oversee delivery of functional requirements defined by the release
Proactively identify, manage, and resolve issues / risks, escalating to leadership as appropriate
Identify and manage bottlenecks in the process to improve throughput
Ensure scope control process is followed and impacts are identified at project and release level
Work with engineers and technical architects to identify project interdependencies and ensure integration of projects within and across releases
Work with DevOps Teams to ensure identification, reporting, resolution of testing problems, and smooth transfer from development to deployment
Coordinate production deployment, including production release coordination, training, and documentation
Facilitate Post-Release Reviews and develop action plans
