Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead HW Designer for High Voltage (1kV-20kV) Instrumentation
  • Participate in Full Development Cycle from Concept to Manufacturing
  • Design for Reliability and Compliance in the area of HV products
  • Participate in Design FMEAs and corrective actions
  • Plan and execute Design Verification and System Level Tests
  • Work with a cross functional team (SW, FW, Mechanical, Thermal, PCB design, NPI) to bring new HV instrument designs from concept to high volume production
  • Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required

  • Ten or more years’ total experience in HW product development, ideally in ATE instrumentation with a focus on addressing high power and high voltage designs (1kV-20kV)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed organization skills (e.g., DV planning and traceability to requirements, regular reporting of progress, organized presentation).
  • Ability to effectively adapt to disruptions and differing work styles within the context of larger business and project goals.
  • Ability to recognize good and bad design practices with the team and mitigate the risk of technical misses .
  • Ability to motivate and mentor implementation staff on product development and product design best practices.
  • Familiarity with System Engineering, formal FMEA and / or Hazard Analysis, and PMI principles and best practices is a desired.
  • Experience with international safety standards for EN61010-1 Ed.3 and SEMI S22 is beneficial but not required.
  • BSEE required, MS degree in a related field is considered a plus.
