  • Responsible for all contract and product maintenance in the royalty system
  • Track all royalty payments submitted to accounts payable (AP) and serve as the main contact for AP
  • Work closely with business partners to implement accurate contract and vendor changes in a timely manner
  • Manage communications coming into and out of the royalty e-mail inbox
  • Validate and load statements and register new authors on the royalty portal
  • Assist in calculating and auditing royalty payments; focusing on contract review, royalty calculation and payment and all reporting requirements for royalty bearing products
  • Conduct moderate to complex financial analysis and identify key trends related to month-end close and payments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners
  • Participate in project work and provide status updates and track project progress
  • Ensure Royalty System controls and identify overall process improvements
  • Work with a global team on testing the royalty system during upgrades and other changes
  • Share knowledge and leverage resources across the Accounting organization to promote a seamless vendor / customer experience
  • General Areas of Accountability :

  • Provide reliable, value-based information on a timely basis to internal and external customers
  • Meet data requests of key decision makers, planners, and / or external customers in a timely manner by utilizing relevant existing financial information and the appropriate analysis tools
  • Generate ad hoc reports to provide internal and / or external customers with accurate, up-to-date information concerning special projects or issues
  • Assist other financial and non-financial personnel with special requests for information
  • Review submitted financial information regularly to monitor for questionable variances
  • Must have strong MS Excel skills
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in PC computer applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of SAP, Business Objects and Alteryx desired
  • Ability to successfully meet project and schedule deadlines
  • Analytical skills in finance and accounting; strong detail orientation
  • Knowledge of MS Access is desired
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing demands for time and resources
  • Strong collaborator in a team environment; ability to effectively transfer knowledge to build team bench strength
  • Four- year degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred
  • Two to four years progressive finance or accounting experience
  • Experience in integrated financial systems and SAP experience preferred
  • Multi-currency transaction experience desire
