The Opportunity

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will help drive Adobe’s Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Authentication initiatives.

The role will strategically work with teams across the company, including Engineering, IT, and Security.

The candidate will connect with a technical audience, partners and management, and vendors while also being a member of an exciting security organization.

What You Will Do

  • Support the ongoing development of the enterprise security strategy that improves the security posture for our employees and data through authentication and PKI
  • Manage of all aspects of Adobe’s Product and Enterprise PKI technology
  • Administer Digicert’s Managed PKI hosted service, including the creation of certificate profiles, integration with 3rd-party MDM (Workspace One and Microsoft InTune) and network devices (Cisco ISE, ASA)
  • Develop requirements and drive Certificate Authority Key Signing Ceremonies
  • Participate in virtual teams to develop PKI requirements for the enhancement and / or introduction of PKI into enterprise initiatives such as Adobe’s Zero Trust Enterprise Network and Network Access Control
  • Provide engineering support for PKI services such as wifi, mobile VPN, SMIME, digital signature, encryption, client authentication
  • Manage Adobe’s code signing infrastructure, including nCipher nShield HSMs (Hardware Security Modules), nCipher Security World, and code signing server software
  • Advise Adobe Engineering, IT, and Security teams as an authority for PKI services
  • Maintain Adobe's Key Management and Data Encryption Standard as well as contribute in the development of new standards
  • Assist in the engineering support of authentication technologies used within Adobe, including Single Sign-On (SAML, OIDC), One-Time Password, and RADIUS
  • Assist with the move from legacy authentication to modern authentication
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of authentication and PKI technologies in conjunction with our business partners and vendors
  • Maintain online technical resources in ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Wiki
  • Provide documentation and training to support teams (Services Desk, Global Operations Center, Desktop Engineering)
  • Routinely audit PKI and authentication services to ensure Adobe usage remains within contact licensing terms
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to review licenses, coordinate quarter business reviews, and keep informed of future features and technology
  • What you need to succeed

    This position requires strong technical, communications and problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage and interact with numerous teams.

  • A Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a security focused engineering role within a large scale enterprise environment.
  • Experience must include working within a sophisticated, global environment that includes cloud solutions and security.
  • A current CISSP certification is also a plus

  • Self-motivated and proven record to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Have a strong ability to work collaboratively and build consensus across the organization.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills (interpersonal and client-facing) focused on all levels of the organization.
