Description : Global Procurement :

Global Procurement :

  • Work globally with various members of Engineering, IT, Facilities, Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement and other teams as needed to define equipment needs
  • Review hardware and software purchase requirements, request quotes, create and track orders, initiate requests for deployment where required
  • Tracking of software licenses where applicable
  • Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests for equipment
  • Asset Management :

  • Create, transfer, track, update and maintain asset database. Certain areas of asset management will be in partnering with other teams such as Compliance, etc.

  • Conduct annual Cycle Audits of Labs, Data Centers and office areas by cooperating with Finance, Compliance, REW and etc.

  • Liaise with Fixed Asset, Tax and other various groups within Finance regarding capitalization of assets and changes in equipment lifecycle status
  • Process disposal or donation requests for retired IT equipment
  • International Shipment Logistics :

  • Manage Courier shipment customs clearing of imports and re-exports. (dependent on location)
  • Work with Shipping and Receiving’ team, Compliance team, and Finance team to receive and / or move equipment as required ensuring compliance with local laws including but not limited to cost evaluation, notification of movement between regions, equipment disposal etc.

  • Locating recipient of un-identifiable orders
  • Mergers & Acquisition Support
  • Others :

  • Create and update documentation for both internal processes and to communicate to our customers
  • Work closely with the Regional GLO team members in implementing new processes and procedures
  • Competencies :

  • Knowledge of purchasing principles, ability to understand requested specifications and customer requirements
  • Knowledge of systems and Information Technology is essential, in particular software and hardware components for systems / servers / desktops / peripherals
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, specifically the purchasing modules is desirable
  • Recent experience with procuring IT Hardware / Software, knowledge in supplier management specific to technology
  • Familiarity with International shipping norms
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to problem solve, learn, and present ideas effectively both orally and written
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and in a team environment
  • Knowledge in government compliance under STPI scheme is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Science / Business / Finance / Engineering or related field a must. Additional role related qualifications a plus.
