The Marketing and Operations (M&O) team leads and inspires others to accelerate our digital transformation, deliver on our company priorities and achieve excellence in our business outcomes.
The M&O team builds a culture of new customer acquisition and consumption focused on customer success at scale to drive sustainable growth for Microsoft.
The M&O Leaders are the accelerator of transformation who drives clarity and is accountable for delivering Subsidiary results across the 4 solution areas to enable customer & partners’ digital transformation success.
The M&O Leader has the unique role of driving the culture of their Subsidiary with the LT and creating an environment where segments can be successful through identification of growth opportunities in the market, effective strategies and leadership.
The M&O Leader acts as the "Chief Operating Officer" (COO) on behalf of the Country Manager and is the local Marketing and Business / Sales operations Leader.
This role partners closely the Country Manager and the Leadership Team.
Growth and Transformation Leadership
The M&O Leader has the primary local leadership accountability for driving the velocity of Microsoft’s transformation and for quality business performance results against strategic priorities and critical measures of success.
They drive Area / Subsidiary planning for short and long-term investments with a strategic focus on the 3 C’s - customer adds, consumption, compete.
They are astute in bringing local insights to develop and execute on growth strategy in partnership with the Area Leadership Team.
Business Results / Building a Culture of Customer Obsession
The M&O Leader is accountable for delivering healthy business results for all Commercial revenue and the Sub Scorecard driving strong performance on Customer Adds and Consumption.
MSA HQ M&O Leaders partner with OCP Leads to deliver SMC results and act as if they were the accountable owner.
The M&O Leader provides effective marketing leadership to the Marcomm Manager for engaging customers on their journey to build loyalty, deliver sales insight and revenue.
They drive an agenda of innovation, thought leadership and execution to realize results. They grow Marketing capability to credibly lead marketing governance for the Subsidiary to drive a balance in short term results with longer term market momentum, including driving focus on winning new audiences (Developer and BDM) to compete effectively.
As the local marketing leader, they are a masterful storyteller of Microsoft strategy and our cloud stories engaging regularly with customers, partners, and press.
Business and Sales Operations Leadership
The M&O Leader continually grows Business and Sales Operations Leader capability to enable on-strategy performance through high-quality BSO deliverables, effective rhythms to enable performance, investment alignment to strategic opportunities as well as to align work with Empowering Digital Success (EDS) in partnership with Area Transformation Lead (ATL).
Drives and maintain a strong culture of compliance that exemplifies our commitment to doing business with integrity and transparency in a way that developer trust with our customers, partners, and suppliers.
Competitive Insight and Execution
The M&O Leader is accountable for growing share faster than solution area competitors. They build a proactive compete culture across their Area / Subsidiary driving insight and actions that preempts competition across solution area competitors.
They are strong leaders of delivering competitive insights and execution that results in winning deals and share against solution area competitors.
The M&O Leader advances Microsoft’s cultural transformation by creating a Learning Culture that prioritizes time to complete required training and modeling a learn it all culture.
They are for building area-wide technical capability across employees, partners & customers for sustainable business performance.
People and Organizational Leadership / Capability Building
drive the Microsoft strategy; role model our Microsoft values; and demonstrate support and accountability for Diversity & Inclusion efforts.
They are adept at transforming behaviors and embedding new ways of working.
M&O Leaders are accountable for delivering value by building Area / Sub capabilities across employees, partners and the market for sustainable business performance.
