Job summary

The Selling Partner Support (SPS) Training Specialist is responsible for training delivery and coordination for New Hire, Refresher, Continuing Education, Advanced Skill and Launch Trainings for our Seller, Vendor and Brand Associates, and thus, is accountable for producing positive training results.

The Training Specialist coordinates directly with Senior Business Owners (Site Leaders, Operations Managers, Team Managers and Supervisors, etc.

Regional Training Managers, Local Training Managers, Training Leads, other SPS Training Specialists, Instructional Designers, Program Managers and other Associate Learning and Performance representatives as well as Associate Advisors, Mentors and Subject Matter Experts, to ensure all training efforts are conducted on-time and with the required resources and facilities.

Duties will include general Seller, Vendor and Brand Support skills and Specialty skills, providing focused training and coaching / mentoring.

Key job responsibilities

  • Facilitate Instructor-Led, On-The-Job and Blended Learning training classes for new hires, new skills (cross-training), feature launches, and refreshers as necessary in our sites.
  • The person hired for this Training Specialist role must be able to utilize the Learning Management System and Test Practice Environments.
  • Learning Plan development and implementation for low-performing associates, including coaching / mentoring as needed.
  • Site Training administration, including administering tests and certifications, managing the training calendar, reporting on work outcomes and impact, scheduling, and partnering with Site Leadership to deliver all curriculum development, training and other learning intervention requests.
  • This role will also include use of surveys, quizzes, performance metrics and other available tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training and assess new Associate learning and skill development.
  • Regionalization and / or localization of training content may include modification of existing content, as well as creation of unique local content when required.
  • Overall, the Training Specialist will be responsible for driving high quality training provided to Amazon employees and play a significant role in the development of a successful, effective global technical support team.
  • Travel required : Occasional travel may be required to other sites in the NA region as well as other Amazon locations.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 12+ months of corporate training facilitation experience focused on Adult Theory Learning. Candidates who do not reflect this requirement in their resumes will not be considered for the position.
  • Proven skills in planning, implementing and assessing Training processes.
  • Experience delivering Virtual Training and working with remote teams. -Demonstrated excellent communication skills for the purpose of knowledge transfer and skill development, including superior skill in explaining technical topics to novices and collaborating with subject matter experts and managers.
  • Excellent one-to-many and one-to-one communication skills in the classroom, tutorial and / or virtual settings.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering Soft Skills, Customer Service, Technology Skills and / or Technical or other Systems training.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering or co-delivering Training on any of the mentioned topics and / or skills within Amazon in the last 12 months.
  • Excellent Classroom Management and Blended Learning facilitation skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Adult Learning and Training Practices, especially in Technical Support contexts.
  • Ability to use multiple Learning Methods and link appropriate methods with subject matter.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ months of experience as a Selling Partner Support associate. -Knowledge and Expertise in Amazon Selling Partner Support platforms and services, general processes and procedures.
  • Preferably in the Vendor space. Candidate with this skill will have a priority
  • Bachelor’s degree or courses and / or certifications in Communication, Education or related field. - 2-4 years of experience in a training role, including technical training, or a mix of training and coaching / mentoring experience and experience in a technical contact center role.
  • Academic degree in Learning and Development or Adult Learning.
