The Corporate Shared Services Center provides accounting services to the Americas region for Brightstar. The supporting functions include Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Reporting, Master Data Management, and Continuous Improvement.
These functions are enabled by Microsoft AX, and Oracle Hyperion. The center also provides support for certain transactions using legacy systems.
The Sr Financial Application Analyst will be the main point of contact for financial applications such as Blackline, Medius Flow and High Radius that supports the center towers operations, ensures tools run properly, troubleshoot any technical or operational issues either by resolving by own means or escalating to corresponding support teams as required.
Verify the usage extension of the tools, perform primarly configuration, train end-users, documents access and ensures end-
users’ segregation of duties. In this position the Sr Analyst will be the resident financial applications expert, problem solving interface and ensure policies and procedures adherence and SOX compliance.
Act as a point of contact (POC) for any tool requirement, issue resolution or user inquiries.
Assign Blackline roles as preparer, approver, reviewer to accounts or group of accounts. Identify unassigned accounts and if it a group component, adds to the group.
Review account reconciliation frequency.
Assign the following account settings in Blackline : Team, Key / Non-Key, Risk Rating, Certification Checklist Template.
Configure Blackline period end dates and due dates.
Extract accounts with zero balances and manually import into Blackline.
Configure and supervise data imports into Blackline and resolve any errors.
Add or remove Medius end-user roles for companies.
Manage other Medius end-users accounts from administration pages, change their profiles, and assign roles.
Manage Medius authorization groups and follow up groups.
Administrate accounting templates in Medius.
Modify non-company related settings of all end-users in Medius.
Create, customize and / or run management reports as needed in Medius.
Serve as the main POC with IT and Medius IT support group for any system enhancements or issues.
Train users how to utilize and work with the tools : Blackline, Medius Flow and High Radius.
Provide guidance and help desk functions to all users : direct, resolve or address any question or issue. Review and analyze errors, solve basic final users’ issues with the system.
Ensures all KPI are executed, met and remediate gaps to ensure outages are eliminated.
Support management in special projects, improvement initiatives, and operation transitions.
Requirements / Skills
3+ years of general accounting in Shared Services experience
Blackline, Medius (OCRs) and High Radius or Get Paid knowledgeable
Working knowledge of systems
English & Spanish fluency with verbal and written communication skills
JDE / SAP / AX & HFM knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in public accounting, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering. System programming knowledge is a plus
Have a track record of driving results (go getter) and process discipline, with strong collaborative and proactive orientation towards clients and their service delivery needs
Attentive to detail and judgmental on decision taking
Manage workload and priorities independently meeting aggressive deadlines
