This position will support the Capital Accounting Team by performing various tasks, primarily related to Capital Finance.
This role works closely with market and / or site finance colleagues, as well as Genpact colleagues. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving capitalizations submitted by market finance colleagues, approving and / or reviewing capital purchase orders and asset change requests, monitoring CIP balances, assisting with annual asset cycle counts, compiling metrics and ad-
hoc reports, recording month-end journal entries as required, completing balance sheet reconciliations, creating and conducting training, completing help tickets and providing customer support for all levels of the organization.
The position will also be responsible for providing audit support and participating in related projects.
Job Description- R2R (Fixed Assets)
Position Summary :
The role is a key position within the Fixed Assets Center of Expertise (CoE) Pfizer, responsible to handle over $11.000 MM USD of Fixed Assets value worldwide.
This is a global position accountable for processes of the regions within the CoE scope (North and Latin America, Africa and Europe)
Main Responsibilities :
Ensure accounting transactions are in compliance with Pfizer accounting policies and US GAAP.
Dominate the proper usage and interpretation of the elements within the domestic and international general ledgers, including but not limited to : JEs, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, reports generation, etc.
Know the applicable financial and accounting principles to enable a precise analysis for external parties such as Corporate Audit.
Works in a self-initiated mode with guidance and support from senior colleagues and / or management.
Manages own workload, priorities, and follow ups on outstanding items, with support of others..
Maintain an accurate and updated task list and open items tracking to properly report progress on completion and resolution.
Maintain complete and accurate standard operating procedures and SOX related internal control documentation.
Identify in a proactive manner any potential opportunity to leverage the Digital Finance Strategy.
Demonstrate a solid discipline to operate and meet deadlines with the assistance of others.
Act as an owner for the GFS value strategy by processes are aligned with the delivery model, global standards and internal controls.
Supports and co-leads selected in-house processes improvement initiatives..
Demonstrates business acumen and be able to apply market specific knowledge in Business Partner and Customer interactions.
Ensure an adequate internal controls environment by the timely and correct execution of the controls in place, the proper understanding of the SOPS, the correct maintenance of documentation such as Job Aids and , Wis, and by timely highlighting any potential risk identified.
Develop and maintain an effective network with internal and external parties to leverage for issue resolution, consultation, benchmark, etc.
Maintain good verbal and written communications in both English and Spanish.
Organizational Relationships :
The position will required a close interaction with other CoE colleagues, finance and engineering teams located at the countries and other CoEs colleagues (Prague, China, Memphis)
Education and Experience :
Bachelor degree in business related field required.
1-3 years of experience in fixed assets or general accounting
Proficient accounting skills and basic US GAAP / IFRS knowledge.
Proficient English level.
