The primary activities include but are not limited to :
Responsible for the Program and Project Management business and IT improvement initiatives to support our Company's global business strategies.
Collaborate closely with other organizational divisions and operational stakeholders to partner with the relevant business areas to effectively coordinate execution of strategic projects.
Lead planning and reporting activities for the strategic portfolio activities and become the trusted adviser of the business Global Process Owners and Business Service Center leadership.
Ensure our Company technology standards compliance and pursue integration and leveraging of platform opportunities.
Facilitate monthly portfolio review meetings to ensure open communication between program teams, sponsors, Financial and IT Leadership is achieved.
Conduct monthly financial reviews with CI CoE, GPO and BSC Leaders.
Ensure project portfolio investment requests align to strategic road maps and business priorities.
Review project execution readiness to ensure compliance with governance models are in place to support decision making and issue escalation.
Review financial forecasts monthly to ensure program and project spend is in line with allocations.
Proactively review programs for threats and opportunities.
Summarize project statuses for monthly GBS Program Management status meetings.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, bioscience, finance, or related field and 5+ years managing Improvement or IT implementation projects and other direct reports.
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) - desirable
Agile Scrum Master Certification (ACP) or equivalent - mandatory
Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) Certification (Preferred) - desirable
Experience and Skills Required :
Strong proficiency in both Waterfall and Disciplined Agile Project Management frameworks leading global programs, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading Continuous Improvement and IT projects (>
$1MM) from inception to close-out.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of project financials including but not limited CPI, SPI, EVM and be able to guide decision making based on the project health.
Proven experience working within an Agile framework- display strong understanding of project management applying Agile methodology such as Epics, Story Points and Sprints
Strong Change Management, Communication (written, oral, presentation), negotiation, influencing and relationship building skills.
Competent in the use of project management and analytical software tools (Power BI).). Knowledge of MS Project Server and SharePoint project portfolio management processes and reporting tools.
Strong understanding of Lean Methodology, Tools, Techniques and Accelerators.
Ability to make a positive contribution as demonstrated by learning new skills and making suggestions for process / procedure improvement.
Demonstrated ability to analyze, define, and solve business problems as well as developing business cases and advising business owners on managing risks.
Ability to work toward enterprise goals, using influence rather than control, and fostering a work environment based on trust, sharing, and collaboration.
Preferred Experience and Skills :
Experience working in regulated environments (GxP, FDA, SoX).
Experience leading ERP implementations.
Experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) Methodologies and Frameworks (i.e. Conner, Kotter, CAP)
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation a plus.
Working experience in complex environments, general knowledge of finance and cost accounting.
Awareness of relevant industry business, information, and technology trends.
Ability to manage globally through complexity and ambiguity along with competing priorities.
Ability to coach and mentor junior project managers.
Lean and / or Six Sigma Certification a plus
Program Leader :
Leads team of Project Managers, establishing policy, governance, and reporting protocols.
Leads programs and projects through issues, roadblocks, and challenges
Acts as a Change Agent to drive teams toward success
Ability to clearly communicate project portfolio at the Enterprise, Operational, and Tactical levels of the organization
Guides team members to perform through issues and constraints by acting as a single point for escalations
Owns Programs and Projects
Owns the project portfolio timeline, budget, resource constraints, deliverables and results
Shifts between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucial details
Be prepared to roll up her / his sleeves and work through detailed issues
Manages People and Projects
Ensures the appropriate resources and skills are assigned and deployed to meet program and project expectations.
Ensures all appropriate methods, tools, templates and techniques are deployed, used effectively and deliverables completed on-time, as specified, defect free and within budget (e.
g., Charter, Communication Plan, WBS / Gantt, Backlog / Burndown, Status updates, etc.).
Actively communicates with program / project sponsors and stakeholders
Establishes regular points of communication with PM Team and Executive Stakeholders
Manages sponsor and stakeholders’ expectations
Delivers the expected results
Works with regional team members to identify and prioritize continuous improvement opportunities
Works with functional and site leaders as a thought leader to create future state improvement roadmaps with clear executable plans that are in line with the business strategies improvement needs
Works with local team members to instill effective daily work management behaviors, such as daily metric review
Contributes toward building a grass-roots culture of continuous improvement
Coaches other employees on the use of various tools, concepts and practices to build self-sufficiency, sustainability and scalability
