Can you prioritize, create, and implement a project plan for vast amounts of content under fast-paced, ambiguous circumstances?

Do you have the ability to guide the editorial support needed to help prioritize and plan for upcoming work? The HR Global Content team is seeking an organized and motivated editorial project manager to function at the center of a dynamic team of content professionals.

This role will be responsible for implementing a global project plan that focuses on overhauling HR content and enables Amazonians everywhere to better self-

serve. In this role you will liaise with global stakeholders and partner teams to understand content needs and leverage data to influence its revolution.

After content discovery, this role will develop a comprehensive project plan and partner with editors to ensure all tasks are completed according to the project timeline.

The Team

The HR Global Content Team owns the Human Resources self-service strategy and ensures a consistent global user experience for all Amazon employees.

We are a fun and diverse team with members in several different countries. We help to enable employee self-sufficiency by providing simple, intuitive tools with personalized content that can be accessed anywhere, by any device.

Our goal is to empower employees to find answers to their questions, with additional support from Amazon’s Employee Resource Center (ERC) to answer specialized questions through a variety of contact channels designed to meet the preferences of our employees.

We use a variety of data sources to better understand customer needs and partner with global shared service teams to design self-

service solutions that leverage digital technologies (e.g., social, mobile, cloud, and analytics) to help HR create a world-

class experience for employees.


  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables to promote employee self-sufficiency
  • Leverage superior writing skills and attention to detail to create, implement, and evangelize content standards that reflect the voice of Amazon and HR
  • Collaborate with partner teams across HR to ensure that standards support customer needs
  • Present to stakeholders on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Develop deeper HR subject matter expertise to ensure new content is consumable by Amazon employees
  • Support editors developing content by helping to remove barriers to authoring and setting clear timelines for content to be completed
  • Be able to work across numerous regions and business models and create certainty out of ambiguity
  • Use sound business judgment to make quick decisions under pressure in uncertain circumstances, balancing advocacy with a need for action
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field
  • 3 years project management experience
  • Project management certification / qualification
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Project Management Professional certification (PMP)
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management and / or change management
  • Experience working with content editors and style guides to orchestrate a cohesive content experience
  • Demonstrable experience with an enterprise CMS platform
  • Translation and localization knowledge and / or experience
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technical environment
  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to build and maintain critical stakeholder relationships
