Job Description

Are you a tools and technology expert who cares about how customers find and use content? At Sage Intacct, we build robust content systems that are part of the product experience and a key driver of customer and partner success.

As part of the Content Operations team, you’ll focus on the tools and technology needed to create reusable, targeted, and dynamic content efficiently at scale.

Whether it’s contextual help in the product, a documentation website, or a new search experience, you’ll identify and define the technical requirements needed to make our content strategy come to life.

In this role, you’ll be both a tactical, hands-on developer for our content systems and a technical advocate that works with in-application developers to enable contextual help and intelligent content experiences.

You’ll help us scale our content and create elegant solutions that solve for accessibility, localization, multiple devices, and different user interfaces.

What you’ll do

  • Work with content leaders to transform content strategy and business objectives into concrete technical requirements that we can implement.
  • Prototype, build, and test content systems and features for our Help Center and Developer Portals.
  • Evaluate, implement, and extend tools and integrations that enable writers to efficiently create reusable, targeted, and dynamic content.
  • Write scripts that automate quality checks and content transformations needed for production.
  • Partner with product managers and developers to drive the technical requirements needed for contextual help in the application.
  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years working as a content engineer, front-end engineer, or information architect for a Help Center or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience with responsive designs using HTML, XML, Markdown, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with scripting, automation, and content transformation (RegEx, Powershell, Command Line, Python).
  • Technical problem solver and systems thinker that keeps scalability and maintenance in mind.
  • Proven ability to define, communicate, and implement technical requirements.
  • Enjoy collaborating on solutions that enable both customer and colleague success.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills.
  • Additional qualifications

  • Experience with metadata and search engine optimization.
  • Experience with Jenkins and / or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with authoring and publishing tools like MadCap Flare, Redocly, or Jekyll.
  • Experience with content localization and accessibility.
