Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing new and existing projects within the overall company portfolio for the Medium Segment.
The Senior Project Manager will be involved in virtually every aspect of the implementations and will work cross-functionally with Business Systems, lines of business, key stakeholders and SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
This role is in a key position to ensure projects are effectively executed and teams are kept focused, energized and on-track to meet the objectives of the strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as lead and conduit between Business Systems, Business Transformation, Operations, Product, and GTM functions to drive deployments and integration of solutions ensuring technology, people, and process come together cohesively
Develop overall project timelines and key milestones; ensure teams meet critical dates leveraging established Project Management software
Manage all phases of projects : initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closure
Weekly / regular updates via project management system and weekly meetings with Project Teams
Partner with teams cross functionally to promote seamless integration of new technologies within a mixed computing environment
Assist team through regressions testing and lead effort to identify potential impacts and bugs, including risk management and mitigation efforts
Facilitate decision-making, arbitrate impasses, remove barriers and ultimately drive projects to completion
Closely monitor implementations, track deployment issues and formulate fallback strategies
Recognize and address shifts in project complexity, scope and risks
Ensure project risks are managed and communicate risks and implications to management as appropriate
Analyze feasibility and cost of technology deployments to lead the team to go / no-go decisions
Work with team to identify and execute cost saving opportunities
Requirements :
7+ years of project management experience in the technology sector (IT, ERP, Engineering, R&D, etc.)
7+ years of experience leading projects that involved business process change and multiple medium to large scale technology components across multiple lines of business
Strong preference for enterprise applications, CRM, ERP, etc
Strong understanding of project governance, software development and testing life cycles
Firm understanding and knowledge of IT infrastructure, protocols and vendor management
Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management and other functional departments
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment
Ability to scope projects that have a degree of uncertainty at the start
Proven experience leading project teams from ambiguity to clarity in a highly dynamic business environment
Experience leading large-scale enterprise wide projects that bring transformation and change to the organization
Ability to work on multiple and often unrelated projects simultaneously
Ability to understand and adjust for projects of varying size and scale from micro-projects’ that span a few weeks to enterprise projects that may be part of an overall program
Ability to drive and meet deadlines
Experience in SDLC management, scrum, Agile, and waterfall methodologies including deep understanding of choosing the right one for the given project
Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills, including understanding of the audience
Outstanding technical skills : background and strong interest in process development, MS Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, web and other required computer applications
Required Bachelor’s degree (computer science, business administration, communications) or equivalent.
Preferred - Experience leading projects across multiple time zones and teams
Preferred PMP or CAPM Certification
