This position is part of our Digital Channels Business Unit which primarily supports our Online Banking and Mobile Money software products / services.
Within the business unit is the Professional Services (PS) team. Professional Services is responsible for working directly with our external customers to customize and implement our products / services.
This team is comprised of Project Managers (PMs), .NET Developers, SQL Server Database Engineers, Systems Engineers and QA resources.
The position requires extensive customer interaction and some travel to customer sites.
The Senior Systems Engineer position is responsible for installing, configuring and supporting an Internet-based Online Banking application throughout a project life-
cycle. This is a customer-oriented systems engineering / infrastructure role that requires advanced technical, organizational and communication skills.
Previous experience designing, deploying and supporting Internet-based e-commerce systems is preferred. The senior role also requires extensive knowledge and familiarity with the Online Banking application, and involves leadership and mentoring responsibilities across the team.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience installing, configuring and supporting Microsoft software / technologies (e.g., Windows 2008 R2 Server, SQL Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Cluster Services, Internet Information Services IIS , Active Directory).
Minimum 5 years’ experience installing and configuring Intel-based hardware platforms (physical or virtual).
Experience installing, configuring and supporting high-volume, complex applications (code deployment, configuration management, debugging and troubleshooting).
Technical knowledge base / background in networking, firewalls and load balancers.
Technical knowledge base / background in Performance testing (tuning servers, performing tests using 3rd party tools).
Technical knowledge base / background in security best practices (e.g., server lockdowns, Active Directory GPOs, IIS request filtering).
Experience supporting high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
MCSE certification preferred.
Financial services industry expertise.

In addition to the base Staff requirements above, a Senior Systems Engineer must demonstrate additional skills :
Quickly and immediately resolve complex application errors.
Participate with short notice on escalated projects.
Coordinate, track and assign tasks among multiple SE resources assigned to a project (act as Infrastructure Coordinator ).
Create, edit and review client-facing documentation (Infrastructure Plan, Performance Test Plan, Whitepapers, etc.).
Create formal documentation, tools and processes that simplify and streamline SE tasks.
Script / automate manual tasks using PowerShell (with demonstrated increased efficiency)
Display superior customer service attitude.
Work independently with little or no oversight.
Drive deliverables to completion without relying on Project Managers for instruction or task management.
Consult on product architecture and infrastructure best practices in front of clients; participate in pre-sales calls and deliver documentation to Sales team.
Demonstrate expertise in the majority of Online Banking features / functionality (e.g., Alerts, Personal Money Manager, Relationship Manager, Reports, Bill Payment, User Interface, Host Interface, Mobile Money).
Demonstrate expertise in data center implementation standards and processes (in house and on-premise).
Design and support high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
Train and mentor junior Systems Engineers in a structured and / or formal classroom setting; help develop and improve training curriculum.
