Amazon Vision Operations Center (AVOC), is a team that remotely handles monitoring activities in the Fulfillment Centers globally.

Our team is looking for skilled associates to work in a high-performing back-office environment with the ability to support Machine Learning technology, and to help us achieve our objective to employ a human-as-sensor model and allow humans to perform those portions of a task that require higher order cognitive ability.

AVOC seeks to complement automated vision based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for the subset of tasks which require higher cognitive ability and cannot be processed through automated decision making with high confidence.

This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of Operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale.

Key job responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Watch image / video of an event, understand it thoroughly, and make best use of human judgement and available resources to resolve it.
  • Perform labeling / annotation tasks with accuracy, speed, and efficiency.
  • Understand performance metrics and process requirements to drive business results in live environment.
  • Able to systematically escalate problems or variance in the information to the relevant owners / teams / managers, according to processes and standards.
  • Analyze and detect exceptions.
  • Meets predetermined and assigned productivity and quality standard targets.
  • Understand and adhere to SOP’s and other Amazon policies.
  • Constantly contribute to process improvement.
  • Demonstrates willingness to support several projects at one time, and to accept re-prioritization as necessary, which may include schedule flexibility depending on business needs.
  • The incoming volume fluctuates throughout the weeks. The selected candidate must be able to manage added work during peak hours to ensure availability and accelerate customer service delivery.
  • Prior applying, please consider the following information about the role :

    1. Training is fully paid and the schedule is from Monday through Friday from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, for a total duration of six (6) weeks since the Start Date (to be determined), then all selected candidates will transition into their respective Production Schedules.

    2. Our Production Schedules are assigned based on business needs and global organizational demands. Night and graveyard shifts are not available at this time.

    In addition, all candidates are requested to have schedule flexibility to work at least one weekend day, overtime and / or holidays.

    Candidates must be able to guarantee schedule flexibility.

    3. As per Amazon Policy, this posting is available for external candidates only (not currently working at Amazon).

    This is *not* a virtual position. If selected for this role, all necessary equipment will be provided for you to work from home temporarily within national territory.

    However, once our company allows it and gives clearance, you will be required to continue working from our brand new SJO19 building, located in the America Free Zone (AFZ), Cariari, Heredia.
