This position will require the ability to work closely with multiple manufacturing and design sites to properly price new business for success and track the project through production womb to tomb customer management.
This will include identifying gaps in the client’s needs related to what Flex can offer. In this role, you will be required to communicate what those gaps are, so that Flex can strengthen in those areas to be able to fully deliver and maximize the revenue opportunity with this Global Key Account.
This role requires expertise in negotiating contracts and selling our end to end services and solutions with a heavy emphasis on demand creation coordinated across multiple customer stakeholder bases.
This role is all about building a technical bridge and growing our business as a result of deeper technical competence, engagement and relationships.
The objective is for this role to demonstrate a level of technical competence to drive the right engagements that lead to revenue growth.

Product Development Executives ensuring high-quality early customer engagements involving sales projections, P&L statements, build plans, etc.
Use technical knowledge of products, technologies, and associated development tools to sell our core EMS, engineering and design services (JDM) including innovation and supply chain services.
Lead Value Engineering and proactive product cost reduction efforts and customer proposals. May conduct product tear downs seeking opportunities to help customers improve product designs Provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process by determining customer product needs and translating these needs into new product recommendations and specifications.
Develop detailed customer specifications for Flex ; identifying and securing the right subject matter experts; creating, leading, and ensuring accountability across deal specific collaborative teams, and then driving the company and the company’s resources to meet the customer’s requirements, whether it’s a specific response time or a type of response that the customer requires.
Identify and communicate existing and potential design issues both internally and externally. Coordinate product integration efforts between component suppliers, Flex and the customer.
Demonstrate Flex’s engagements and influence with key component suppliers coming from our CTO organization. Develop and present technical seminars for customers and sales personnel to promote employer's manufacturing capabilities, services, available technologies, manufacturing process and quality.
Provide best in class complex technical support by answering and closing all customer and program management technical support questions related to manufacturing capabilities including : design, fabrication and assembly abilities.
Define initial project / product scope and prepare project plans to meet customers’ expectations. Understand our competitors technical engagements, differentiators and competencies to develop Business Unit level strategic plans and respective investments.
Here is some of what you’ll need : Typically requires a bachelor’s degree (ME, EE or SE) in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of engineering experience and managing a matrixed organization. Demonstrates functional, technical and people and / or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.
Demonstrates expertise in multiple areas and industry. Demonstrates proficient knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.
understands the strategic impact of the function across sites. Proven track record of significant Global Account (s) growth with experience in selling engineering design services and to engineering teams at these accounts.
