Description The LA Projects Program Manager plays a key role in achieving the overall business objectives by timely and effectively controlling Projects Execution in LA.
Will be responsible for implementing common tools / procedures in Project Management, define timely & meaningful KPIs assuring an accurate analysis.
Will mainly interact with the Project Management Organizations within LA Countries, SYSS PMO Global Organization and Global Peers.
He / She will work closely and collaboratively with the other Regional Peers to meet common LA objectives. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and with challenging targets and deadlines.
Responsibilities Provide strategic directions on Project Management practices and responsibilities towards effectiveness and productivity improvements
Be able to establish well defined objectives and desired results and communicate them effectively.
Design, define, and implement process upgrades that will improve on-time performance targets, increasing quality, and Customer Satisfaction
Identify Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Establish and maintain performance measures and goals aligned with these KPIs.
Be aware and assist in the analysis, influence and control of specific P&L targets (Backlog, Sales & GP) & Assets Metrics (OTD, Collections & Inventory)
Work towards maximizing the use of corporate tools, while minimizing the use of manual / customized reports
Stablish the right and effective cadence for regular Project Review process with Countries. Ensure controls are in place to guarantee performance goals, targets & KPIs tracking
Work in conjunction with Project Support Regional Lead on the right segregation of roles & responsibilities within the Project Management and Support Team.
Define and maintain the most effective work processes and practices in conjunction with the Project Support Organization
Identify, keep and maintain the required DOA approvals definitions with regards to Project Execution (EAC adjustment, purchasing, and others to be identify and define as required)
Assure and control the right participation of the Project Management Organization as part of the S&OP process planning
Active participation in Customer Satisfaction initiatives : definition, implementation and continuous improvement
Administrate and control the effective implementation of the Project Survey process, including corrective actions follow-up
Act as LA representative at PMO and Project Management global community
Drive Global initiatives validation, implementation plan and progress tracking. Integrate and standardize processes and execution structures related to Project Management
Stablish the right and effective cadence for regular Audits on Countries processes and practices
Work closely and collaboratively with the other Regional Peers to meet common LA objectives
Coordinate the right engagement of Project Management Organization with regards to Sales and proposals support
Position will hold the responsibility to share and extend SYSS PMO practices & processes to others Business Unit project execution environments
For project execution on a Multi Business Unit environment (TIER 4 & 5), position’s responsibilities will be extended with the same Multi BU approach with regards to Project Reviews and general Project Management practices.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
Strong experience in Project Management (PMI certification is a plus), a minimum of 15 years.
Experience in Managing mid to large size Project Teams
Secure Knowledge in Automation and DCS.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to communicate to management the strategy and progress with respect to targets
Strong business understanding and the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers
Expert level of Spanish (Spanish native speaker is a plus)
Advance level of English
Basic-Intermediate level of Portuguese (is a plus)
Availability to travel 50% of the time
