Robotics Engineer responsibilities include writing code in various languages (such as Java, C#.NET, C++), designing mechanical parts, integrating electronic with pneumatic systems, and programming industrial robotic arms from recognized brands such as KUKA ,ABB or others.
Ultimately, the role of the Robotics Engineer is to build high-quality systems, being able to integrate electronic, pneumatic and robotic systems into a single automation product.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
Write well-designed, testable code
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
Document and maintain software functionality
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback
Comply with project plans and industry standards
Ensure software is updated with latest features
Executing full lifecycle software development
Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
Design, 3D print and / or machine mechanical parts.
Design and build electronic circuits.
Program and integrate robotic arms with electronic and pneumatic components, such as sensors, pistons, PLCs, etc.
Design and develop HMIs for automated systems.
Proven work experience as a Robotics Engineer.
Experience using robotic arms (and robotic equipment) from recognized brands.
Experience with the Robotic Language.
Experience integrating PLCs (any brand) with automated systems.
Ability to integrate software, pneumatic systems, electronic systems and robotics together into a single automation product.
Experience using a modeling CAD software, such as SolidWorks.
Experience with 3D printing.
Ability to create mechanical parts (and their corresponding drawings) to be machined.
Ability to design and physically create electronic circuits, and to integrate them with pneumatic systems.
Experience working with different microprocessors (Arduino, PSoC, PIC).
Experience designing interactive applications.
Ability to develop software in Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, C++ or other programming languages
Ability to develop web applications with C#.NET, or PHP.
Ability to integrate multiple programming languages, such as Python with others.
Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
Experience developing web applications. The usage of at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC) is preferred.
Experience developing smartphone apps (Android, iOS) is preferred.
Experience with test-driven development
Proficiency in software engineering tools
Ability to document requirements and specifications
BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Experience in the electronic industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with ISO standards is preferred (ISO 9001 : 2015)
General Programming Skills
