Credit & Collections Manager

Main Purpose of Role :

  • Responsible for credit administration, collection, dispute and deductions and AR related management reporting for a LAO region
  • Build positive relationships with external customers and LAO units in order to achieve maximum recovery of money in the shortest time without damaging business relationships
  • Function as the primary expert for all Credit and Collection processes and systems and recommend enhancements and / or solutions
  • Planning, evaluating, implementing and continuously improving all aspects of credit & collection functions and processes
  • Role Accountabilities :

  • Schedule and direct the activities of credit analysis and portfolio recovery, including authorization of customer orders, through compliance with the Credit and Collection Policy, Corporate CFI’s and applicable government laws in order to safeguard the interests and assets of the company
  • Working closely with CFO to respond to credit and collection concerns with existing and potential clients
  • Implement strategies to reduce DSO, past due invoices and dispute resolution
  • Develop and publish weekly, monthly, quarterly key performance Indicators to stakeholders and executive management
  • Be aware of both general and specific industry economic conditions and use that knowledge to more effectively manage receivables
  • Coordinate and process legal fees, through the implementation of policy and Credit and Collection Policy established in order to recover the receivables through the courts.
  • Direct interaction with selected clients in resolving receivables delinquencies
  • Analyze the overall portfolio to prepare the Loss provision in order to define the actions necessary for recovery and minimize credit losses
  • Essential Knowledge / Experience

  • Degree in Accounting, Management or Finance with an advanced degree a plus
  • 4-6 years of experience leading order to cash and accounting to report
  • People manager with experience handling large teams
  • Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish, including speaking, reading and writing (Portuguese optional)
  • Highly motivated individual or is a self-starter and takes ownership of projects and tasks
  • Experience in business analysis and / or the SSC would be preferred.
  • Expertise in SAP and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong people management skills
