The NXP HR Manager will be responsible for facilitating and operationalizing the HR agenda by ensuring the local delivery of talent processes, programs and events are executed upon seamlessly, through hands on engagement and guidance to managers and employees.
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as the local face of HR, guiding and coaching managers in their leadership role.
Be a visible and collaborative partner, engaging in situations where face-to-face interaction is required with employees (or remote where required).
Drive employee engagement and retention activities in partnership with the CoE, HRBPs and business leaders.
Provide support to implement local HR programs and initiatives, ensuring local legal and cultural adaptations are taken.
The role is based in San Jose and will report to the US Country HR Leader.
Scope of Responsibilities :
Local Partnership : Handle day-to-day local delivery of HR. Establish trust and use influence to provide required support to local managers and employees, including those off-site.
Focal point for employee relations issues, aligning with stakeholders to facilitate.
Engagement and HR Program Execution : Onboarding, performance management, employee and leadership development, culture initiatives, workplace productivity, change management and overall implementation and management of local HR programs;
raise feedback, concerns and escalations to HRBP collaborate with COEs in the delivery of HR; review and escalate HR policy exceptions when appropriate.
Collaborate with HRBPs : Work with Business Partners to evaluate business needs and initiate HR solutions within the global framework.
Includes guiding local managers on succession and development actions for each layer of the local organization. Actively partner with HRBP to ensure alignment and effective implementation of HR programs for managers supported.
Provide feedback to HRBPs on effectiveness of managers and help develop action plans to increase capability.
Develop, initiate, roll-out and evaluate (local) HR Programs, within the global framework (freedom in the framework).
Workforce Planning : Assist in execution of activities in support of workforce planning initiatives aligned to global HRBP (key skill / competence gaps, restructuring, university relations, M&A / Divestitures).
Experience / Qualifications :
8+ years of HR management experience
Proven track-record of successful partnering with the business and HRBPs in a complex, global, fast growing business
Deeply connected and networked within the HR community and / or in relevant technology companies
Experience collaborating with a team of HR generalists in a company that has implemented a Shared Services / Center of Excellence model
Intellectual mindset, analytical thinking capability, and strong communicator
Strong influencing skills; courage to confidently express an independent point of view
Resourceful and innovative; always pushing to find new and better ways of working
Balanced approach to serving local business needs while advocating corporate objectives
Detail oriented and flawless execution mindset
