POSITION OVERVIEW
The Asset Planner is accountable to meet the defined inventory and service level targets for the respective -Asset Group by
Leading and coordinating Latin America Supply PLanningn activities for a group of Assets : providing working plans for the sites in LA, incl.
Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP) and managing demand
Leading functionally Operational Schedulers, provides them with detailed direction in the accomplishment of tasks
Taking on ownership for balancing and optimizing the LA Sales Plan against LA Manufacturing Capabilities for a group of Assets
Taking over responsibility for batch move orders
Working independently of day-to-day supervision
Communicating effectively across organizational lines to introduce mid-term changes and providing for exceptions

Managing the reporting for the Sales and Operation planning group
PRIMARY DUTIES
Responsible for Long term, mid-term, Short Term demand and capacity planning to ensure and maintain accuracy and consistency in procedures in line with KPI’s
Establish and maintain safety stock and inventory balances appropriate to meet production requirements but at lowest feasible levels.
Initiate and determine disposition of excess, obsolete and slow-moving inventories and coordination of shelflife extension with relevant Quality dept and warehouse
Monitor and investigate to ensure that all process and purchase orders are fulfilled. Ensure that corporate standards in Supply Chain are maintained and improved
Resolve any materials management issues causing deviations from inventory and service level targets
Coordinate activities and work flow (Finished Goods and Raw Material + Packaging) with Operational Schedulers to ensure production and material handling are aligned.
Identify and communicate real or potential capacity and material supply chain issues; initiate corrective actions, coordinate across functional boundaries and follow up to resolution
Create monthly planning report outlining forecast demand and supply and anticipated inventory while reviewing previous months’ performance
Responsible to run weekly and monthly reports for the group
Demand Planning
Checks and adapts statistical forecast in the planning system .Reviews actual demand versus forecast, based on month-end data.
Receives information about sales / mkt activities and feedback from contacts in the countries, and incorporates it to the forecast as appropriate.
Creates supply and demand balance on manufacturing site / big suppliers level and agrees it with production / external supplier
Reviews demands of critical articles and customers where appropriate
Reacts on exceptions in order to adjust or execute net demand
Check purchase and planned order generation and follow-up in case of issues, and generate manual orders in exceptional cases
Updates planning master data (e.g. safety stock, lead times, MTO / MTS classification, MOQs) based upon rules as defined through the Business Service Standards.
Creates and sends out to stakeholders monthly reports on supply chain performance of the respective Asset group
Exception Handling
Handles urgent orders / exception requests from Customer Service
Handles unexpected production downtimes by creating stock to stock transfers and reprioritisation of production
Handles production capacity conflicts between (Sub-) Asset-Groups and / or businesses and decides upon priorities
Inventory and service monitoring and balancing
Analyses and follows-up outstanding customer and integrated intercompany orders, inventory deviations from targets, non saleable and maximum shelf life period stocks and on-time / late shipments
Masterdata maintenance
Update and maintain planning parameters in the planning system
Interface and People Management
Communicates proactively with Raw Material Coordinator about major deviations in raw material demand
Participates in business review meeting lead by S&OP Manager
Leads and supervises Operational Schedulers functionally
Toll Manufacturing / Traded Goods : Create weekly plan and agree with business and supplier in cases where maximum capacity agreed with supplier
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
In depth working knowledge of Supply Chain.
Economics, Engineering or similar Degree.
Basic Technical Process Knowledge, either gained through a technical basic degree, external training or a minimum of 12 months on the job training in a technical function in the chemical industry.
Fluent in English +, Spanish, Portuguese language.
Fully conversant or SAP & SC related transactions & reporting functions.
Demonstrable abilities in : change & project management, & team work.
Good communication skills within all levels of the organization.
Able to withstand pressure.
Excellent organization & time management skills.
Ability to take ownership of a project & make timely informed decisions.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
Regular business travel may be expected
Significant time spent seated working on computer
Office environment will be normal place of work
