DESCRIPTION

Amazon's advertising design and video team is seeking a talented, customer-obsessed Sr. Motion Graphics Designer to create pixel perfect eCommerce advertising experiences across Amazon.

com, Kindle, Mobile and video.

Your primary focus will be to design and animate visually compelling and effective advertising creative for internal and external stakeholders.

You will work closely and have direct communication with product, sales, creative account and advertiser client teams to create and bring ideas to life to help drive new business.

Prior experience in an agency or in-house media environment creating advertisements for global brands is required.

As a Sr. Motion Graphics Designer, you have to be passionate about the visual customer experience and deliver world-class video solutions.

You have to have demonstrated success in to translating business goals to an inspiring creative direction. You will start with the customer in your thinking, understanding that what you do is critical to creating a successful, consistent shopping experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with account managers, peers and leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable, on-brand graphic and motion design solutions to build a superior vendor and shopping customer experience.
  • Produce video graphics, motion, templates, layouts, video edits, vendor proofs and visual standards for customer facing physical assets.
  • Provide and manage design, motion graphics and video editing documentation and specifications.
  • Proactively manage time and deadlines.
  • Report daily and weekly metrics on completed projects.
  • Work closely with fellow international Designers to ensure high standards of graphic design, motion graphics, and video editing brand consistency and customer experience.
  • Communicate design, motion graphics and / or video editing rational in a clear, respectful and open, fluent manner with internal partners and advertisers’ teams.
  • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Audiovisual Communications / Graphic Design, Motion Design or commensurate design experience.
  • Proficient spoken and written / speaking English communication skills. (80 + proficient Versant score).
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products.
  • A minimum of 5 years of video production experience required, including experience providing conceptual direction to other artists.
  • Portfolio of world-class videos demonstrating motion graphics proficiency is a must.
  • Ability to train and lead others to raising the bar on motion design, and provide clear / precise feedback.
  • Vector-based illustration skills and motion graphic mastery.
  • Completion of required assessment, evaluated by Hiring Manager's discretion.
  • Mastery of the principals of design, color theory, typography, graphics, motion graphics, video editing, and file creation optimized for digital media.
  • Knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to implement them to create dynamic advertising solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and self-prioritize.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong time management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter with bias for action who is a customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to work with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience defining or maintaining design style guide.
  • Expert understanding of graphics creation and manipulation optimized for palette, size, and speed of download.
  • A proven ability to work for multiple teams across a broad range of product ranges and synthesize feedback and input from product teams, copywriters, marketers.
  • Strong written / verbal communication and collaborative skills.
  • Unwavering attention to detail and an acute awareness that everything counts.
  • Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and customer-centricity. Experience with post-production techniques and at least a working knowledge of the printing process.
  • Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced online environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at one time to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Bonus / nice-to-have : experience filming live-action or product beauty videos, and experience working at scale.
