Description

Position Purpose Considered an experienced professional in the financial services operations space with comprehensive and thorough knowledge to use under some oversight in conducting moderately complex activities.

Responsible for coordinating and executing operational activities for a BU or Function. This includes : operational processes & procedures / compliance, customer / client interaction & business partnership, financial products and services and systems & data management.

  • Principal Accountabilities 35% CI Provide process improvements and standardization when applicable to processes managed by the team
  • Strategy for operational excellence within the BU and the associated roadmap for change.
  • Implements and provide input to the development of new trades, structures and counterparties.
  • Responsible for understanding and navigating though moderately complex information associated with financial products or services which includes but is not limited to transaction specifics data integrity documentation, settlement processes as well as the attributes of relevant market and geography.
  • Actively participates in process improvement activities to ensure system and data accuracy and efficiency as business develops.
  • 20% LeadershipIn charge to provide guidance to a group or team with the purpose of achieving goals and metrics.

  • With some oversight determines how to reflect products within system capabilities and executes work-arounds as needed for inputting data while maintaining adequate internal controls.
  • Responsible for inputting, processing, and maintaining a moderately complex subset of data which feeds accounting, credit and / or risk reporting.
  • 20% Decision Making and Problem SolvingSupport decision made by supervisors and organization to the team. Provide any feedback from the team perspective to Supervisor, serve as a advisor of the issues and provide alternative soluction ideas.

  • Stays abreast of standard industry best practices related to operational capabilities, and provides suggestions to more senior team members and mangers to ensure they are appropriately assimilated into improvement initiatives
  • Utilizes a comprehsive knowledge of operational standards and regulations to provide specific input and information to Bu / Functional managers, supervisors and staff.
  • Provides input to the potential impact to their business of regulatory developments.15% Operation & Processes Generate reports to monitor team performance and metrics to ensure business needs and proactive propose process changes.

    Ensure documentation is accurate based on each process. Ensure process continuity.

  • Under some or general supervision reviews, prepares, negotiates and executes moderately complex documentation for financial transactions.
  • Performs moderately complex activities with customer, clients and business partners.5% Control and Follow up Serve as a mid-
  • point of escalation to ensure process quality and execution.

  • Implements and provides input to the development of operations policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge of operational processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure execution of process in compliant.
  • With some oversight collaborates with operations staffs to maintain an effective control environment and to provide accurate and actionable data.
  • 5% Training, Policies and proceduresAssist on training for new hires and retraining to the reinforce business processes.

  • Applies a comprehensive understanding of operational practices, procedures and internal controls to identify areas of improvement across a BU or function.
  • Facilitates discrete or specialized operations training sessions for colleagues.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 2 year Associate Degree or equivalent Finance business center experience.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook, etc).
  • Proficiency in English (85%).
  • SAP Experience.
  • JDE Experience. Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma / DMAIC background
  • Accounts Receivable experience
  • Operations
