Job Summary
Reporting to the Dean of the College of Professional and Global Education and receiving work lead direction from the Associate Director of Data and Digital Services, the Web Analyst works with the Webmaster in the development and maintenance of websites and for the College of Professional and Global Education (CP&GE) to support its recruitment and outreach programs.
This position works on day-to-day web related tasks, as well as long-range projects. The Web Analyst is responsible for the update and maintenance of the CPGE websites and the creation of html templates for CPGE’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or other marketing related database systems.
This position assists with the web applications utilized on the CPGE websites.
Key Responsibilities
Helps create web forms and documents for websites
Tracks and manages CPGE content owners’ access to websites
Provides training for staff on web programs and applications
Creates and generates web analytic reports and metrics
Tests and reviews websites for accuracy and broken links
Develops and maintains templates for forms, email communications, letters, etc.
Ensures that SJSU and CPGE web design styles are followed
Coordinates surveys as directed
Provides technical support to end users, diagnosing and resolving web related problems
Develops end user training material and provides training for key users with varying skill levels
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of responsive mobile first design
Working knowledge of Google Analytics
Skilled in front-end code development, specifically HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Knowledge and understanding of copyright policy and design terminology and policies for using stock photos, royalty free images
Ability to communicate technical concepts in plain language and collaborate with staff whose expertise lies in other areas
Strong organizational, problem-solving, time management, fine attention to detail, and analytical skills
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study
Three years of experience supporting information systems and technology
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in web design multimedia, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related fields
Working experience with HTML and CSS
Experience with Google Analytics / Tag Manager
Experience creating html email and working with mass mailing services such as Constant Contact or Pardot
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, and graphic skills
Experience with modern social media, digital advertising tactics and strategies
Excellent customer service skills. Customer Service experience
Excellent written communication skills (Based on application materials)
Experience working with Customer Relationship Management systems (such as Salesforce) and software is a plus

Anticipated Hiring Range : $4,907 / month - $5,725 / month
Salary Range : $4,372 / month - $10,792 / month
