National Instruments is looking for a strong technical candidate to join our Support Organization as a Technical Support Engineer.

Technical Support Engineers benefit from extensive training programs, including training on National Instruments products and related technologies, our business strategies and systems, public speaking, instructor skills, our customers, and markets we serve.

  • Work to learn our products, customer needs, and markets. During this time, you interface between National Instruments and our customers to find creative and timely solutions to customers' technical issues as well as work on a variety of technical projects.
  • Through this technical support role and project work, you gain the critical depth and breadth in your technical skills required for you to grow your career successfully elsewhere within NI.

  • Work with mentors who will provide valuable coaching for success in our Support Organization.
  • Participate in formal training programs designed to prepare you for a career at National Instruments, such as the NI Foundation and Leadership Series, as well as Professional Development programs.
  • Work on challenging projects such as performing alpha or beta testing on new or recently enhanced products, or developing a proof-
  • of-concept LabVIEW program to assist a Field Sales Engineer with a key customer.

  • Conduct customer training courses, customer seminars, and give product presentations.
  • Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or students in their graduation project / thesis / labor practice in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Computer Engineering, among others aligned.
  • Intermediate or advanced English level, oral and written. (B2 or above)
  • Strong customer service attitude, work ethic and drive to succeed.
  • Solid understanding of electronics, computers, and programming languages (C, C , etc.).
  • Passion for learning about and working with computer-industry and instrumentation technologies.
  • Interest and skilled in writing on technical subject matter.
  • Ability to take initiative and own tasks and projects.
  • Persistently drive tasks and projects to completion.
  • Problem-solve effectively; enjoy solving problems.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, positive outlook.
  • Listen attentively and able to grasp fast-paced technical conversations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work effectively in a group development environment.
  • Preferred requirements

  • Higher degree in engineering
  • Consulting abilities : influencing others, negotiation skills, problem-solving, adaptive, genuine curiosity about business
  • Intermediate or advanced Portuguese level, oral and written. (B2 or above)
  • Previous experience in customer support, customer service or sales
