The Procurement Operations Buyer is responsible for managing tactical procurement related activities in support of the various reports, processes and procedures that are currently supported and managed by the Costa Rica Indirect Procurement Team.
This role will execute daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks in support of our Commodity Managers or Specialists for the Vendor Management Program.
The Procurement Operations Buyer position requires flexibility and organizational skills to understand and prioritize the daily tasks and planned projects to ensure the most optimal outcome.
This person will perform various functions like the submission of Purchase Orders to a global supply base, the management and communication with those suppliers, while helping to foster a positive collaborative relationship.
The buyer will be required to resolve issues and conflicts related to their assigned duties including quality, cost, delivery, and timely payments
As Indirect Procurement is growing into a Global organization, the Indirect Buyer may interact and / or work on projects with other Buyers or Commodity Managers from different geographic regions, besides interacting with other organizations, thus the person needs to show strong networking and teamwork skills.
