GENERAL DESCRIPTION :

Leads reporting and analytics efforts in support of the procurement business for make-to-stock finished goods (FG). Develops and maintains necessary reports for efficient operation and supplier management.

Key contributor to KPI methodology and integration within ERPs to support Division partners. Primary mentor and trainer in FG reporting and system integrations.

Job consists of 80% strategic projects and 20% tactical responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Position may perform any or all of the following tasks as assigned :

Systems Knowledge

  • SME for ERP reporting capabilities and supporting platforms (for example : Power BI).
  • Report creation and troubleshooting within reporting platforms.
  • Process mapping to establish new methods of tracking, information gathering, and reporting.
  • Gather inputs for all metrics and consolidate for appropriate business reviews.
  • Perform power user duties and act as primary trainer for business systems.
  • Customer Management

  • Oversee update of internal customers on key performance indicators.
  • Consolidate data from procurement team for monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Assess and analyze procurement processes and reports to improve as required to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain current and accurate understanding of the entire business for the end to end supply chain process.
  • Data Analytics

  • Lead data analytics to expose and address the root cause of any / all supply issues.
  • Use data analytics to support the capacity analysis for strategic suppliers.
  • Understand, root cause, and take action for solution upon discovery of discrepancy or problem exposed.
  • Drives improvement initiative implementation for the team and supports larger organizational initiatives.
  • Process Development

  • Mentor colleagues in reporting and data analytics. Lend experience and knowledge to assist others in the department and the business.
  • Refine current processes to better accommodate current business.
  • Develop and implement new processes to better support business changes.
  • Own and develop procedures in the business process map as appropriate.
  • Utilize cross functional influence to improve data integrity, KPI consensus, analytic output and procedures.
  • Drive creative solutions and communicate / suggest best practices to management and colleagues.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement new processes and reports to support business changes.
  • EXPERIENCE AND NECESSARY SKILLS :

  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be PC literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • At least 5 years of relevant reporting and data analytics experience.
  • At least 3 years purchasing and / or planning experience preferred.
  • Preferred Functional skills MRP, PC proficiency, Purchasing system / procedures, Supplier Management.
