The opportunity

On the Design Research & Strategy team, our mission is to lay a user-centered and data-driven foundation for Adobe product strategy, design, and development.

We are seeking a mixed-methods Senior Experience Researcher to work with cross-functional partners and lead research projects informing best in class enterprise products in the Adobe Experience Cloud.

In this role, you will drive research from initial early explorations through to shipping products. Your research will directly impact user experience and customer retention by understanding how we can best support users’ goals and workflows.

What you will be working on

Assess a project’s scope, determine appropriate research questions, and identify appropriate research methods (developing new ones as needed).

Run research studies from start to finish, including : developing a realistic research plan and materials, recruiting research participants, collecting data, synthesizing data into findings, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Advocate for the user by articulating research findings and product ideas through clear and insightful presentations.

Engage with different roles across the company to access relevant data and information and understand and influence business goals, system architecture, and product designs.

Present work in group-wide or company-wide forums.

What you will bring to the team

Must haves :

Significant hands-on research experience, with at least 3 years of experience as a Researcher in an industry setting (UX Research, Market Research, etc.).

Knowledge and experience with a variety of quantitative user research activities, including data management, data analysis (exploratory and confirmatory), statistics / statistical reasoning, and tools like R, Splunk, Tableau, Pendo, PowerBI, Python, SPSS.

Expertise in quantitative research and modeling (statistical, mathematical, etc.).

An undergraduate degree from a 4-year, accredited institution.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to efficiently collaborate with stakeholders from different functions and clearly articulate a problem space, sometimes in various ways to meet the needs of different recipients.

Ability to handle areas (user / product / domain) that may be ambiguous or ill-defined.

Strong problem-solving skills : comfortable in addressing unknowns in user and product experience.

Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Ability to not just summarize study data but go one step further to identify meaningful user needs and / or product issues.

Ability to proactively identify and communicate clear product solutions based on these findings, sometimes across organizational departments.

Experience presenting work at the management, director, and VP levels.

Awareness of UX industry trends, incorporating new research techniques when appropriate.

Nice to haves :

Experience with multiple qualitative research methods and be able to explain the rationale for using each one.

Experience with conducting research for enterprise products.

An advanced degree in information science, data science, human computer interactions, psychology, or a related field.

Experience with conducting research in the analytics / marketing automation space.
