Global Planning Systems Support Americas SFA (LATAM Based) The Global Planning Systems Support Sr Financial Analyst plays a key role in Global Planning System Support team as well as executing the various initiatives necessary to achieve key finance systems initiatives.
This person will have a focus on Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting, but will also be instrumental in many other global initiatives.
Success in this role will require an appropriate balance of self-direction and understanding global planning system demands when setting individual priorities.
Organization The Americas GP SFA reports into the Global Planning Systems Support , but will work closely with the Americas Finance Center of Excellence (COE) and Global Design Center (GDC).
This role will be responsible for having a thorough working knowledge or the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements and the intricacies of related system data flow.
All Global and Regional initiatives related to these two reports as well as the coordination of the Regional GP Mgrs when executing said initiatives, will be the responsibility of the Americas SFA.
In addition, the Americas GP SFA will perform other more general activities in support of the Global Planning System Support team. Responsibilities
Serve as matter expert (SME) for technical aspects of the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
Plan and execute Global Planning System initiatives related to the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
Collect and document user requirements
Review IT design proposals
Develop and execute system tests
Monitor deployment activities
Provide general internal customer support for global user base of the financial planning and reporting applications (BaxIntel / PlanIT)
Assist Global System Support team processes both routine and project in nature, e.g. data reconciliation, security profile maintenance, user issue investigation, Plan / Forecast preparation, testing support, and training
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the Global Planning System Strategic Plan including prioritization of initiatives, defining the target state system architecture, defining metadata standards, and executing both system and process innovations
Create and maintain standard operating procedures, reference guides, etc
Maintain Global Planning Share Point sites which serves as the primary method for communication with the user community
Skills and Qualifications
The successful individual will have at least 3-5 years of experience with financial systems or other business software applications

A broad, enterprise-wide understanding of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Strong analytical skills and aptitude for systems
Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data
Experience writing, interpreting, and testing business requirements
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations with an emphasis on translating often complicated technical concepts into language understandable to finance business resources
The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business
Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus Self-
motivated and the ability to work independently
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Share Point, Cognos BI, Hyperion, JDE, and a working knowledge of PC applications
Preference for knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, with additional focus on the Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flow
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
