Responsible for driving the demand planning process in the market and supporting supply and inventory management processes to achieve commercial goals for the markets in scope.

  • Drive demand planning process working closely with Commercial and other market stakeholders
  • Support Hub Supply Planners in : identifying and resolving supply issuesexecuting assigned inventory management activities
  • Support Product Lifecycle Change Management activities in market
  • Support Improvement initiatives by executing required market activities
  • Demand Planning

  • Develop Statistical forecast using standard process and guidance from Hub
  • Develop Consensus forecast by obtaining market intelligence through Brand forecast review (BFR) meeting cadence in markets
  • Develop and analyze constrained and unconstrained demand forecasts
  • Ensure alignment in $ and units through S&OP process
  • Customize BFR / Market S&OP materials to market requirements
  • Drive Market S&OP meeting, providing insight and clarifications to stakeholders
  • Drive ad-hoc forecast publishing process
  • Drive FERCA analysis and submission
  • Shared accountability with AMP Hub team to perform ongoing / one-time analyses related to demand changes and projects related to demand planning
  • Supply Assurance

  • Work with Hub supply planners to clearly understand supply outlook of Market products
  • Shared accountability with Supply planners to identify demand-related supply and risks and support mitigation and resolution plans related to market commercial actions
  • Shared accountability with Supply planners to identify and manage demand-related obsolescence risks and support mitigation and resolution plans related to market commercial actions
  • Execute activities related with inventory reporting aligned with established Regional processes.
  • Execute assigned market activities related to Product lifecycle management (new launches, line extensions)
  • Improvement initiatives

  • Support Hub Enabling team by executing market activities related to market / regional / global improvement initiatives
  • Key qualifications

  • Relevant experience required in Demand Planning / Management and S&OP process, ideally in pharmaceutical industry :
  • 7+ years of relevant experience for Demand Manager
  • Technical skills required :

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical industry commercial dynamics, trends and regulatory processes
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations and end to end global product flows
  • Continuous improvement : Leadership of cost, operations and business improvement projects for Logistics & Supply processes
  • ERP / System implementations
  • Implementation of New business / distribution models
  • Local Logistics market knowledge (LSPs, transport)
  • Exposure to business finance
  • Understanding of Sales / Commercial / Marketing functional areas
  • Key capabilities

  • Ability to quickly grasp and understand complex situations involving many moving parts
  • Expertise in use and leveraging of ERP systems and reporting tools (E.g. SAP APO, Business Intelligence tools, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Powerpoint )
  • Strong analytical skills are required - ability to observe patterns and trends in data, determining root cause of issues and drawing proper conclusions from analysis
  • Makes good decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment
  • Ability to manage, track and drive resolution of complex issues as well as improvement initiatives in parallel
  • Strong team work orientation required and proven ability to interact and build effective relationships at all levels of the organization and across geographies
  • Oral and written communication skills to present complex issues, providing adequate level of information required at different levels and for different stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix organization and within a multi cultural environment, balancing needs of different stakeholders
  • Ability to develop deep knowledge of markets, commercial dynamics and impact on demand behavior of the different products
  • Expertise (speed and accuracy) in systems and tools including Excel, SAP APO and managing large databases
  • Strong grasp of statistical forecasting process including data preparation, model selection, understanding parameters and graphical representation of results
  • Ability to proactively generate insights from data
  • Ability solve problems by performing root cause analyses
  • Attention to detail able to cross-check and validate numbers across multiple sources
