Business Priorities :

  • Adhere to processes related to the creation, maintenance, and quality of master data to ensure consistency across multiple locations.
  • Improve the quality and accuracy of master data by participating in routine audits and data cleansing activities.
  • Support internal customers by performing daily activities creating and updating master data and troubleshoot issues related to data.
  • Role Accountabilities :

  • Coordinate master data request processes. These start with requests from the business to create or change a master data record, and end with the confirmation of requests being applied in SAP.
  • ü Includes the administration and support of the tools, forms and workflow systems that are employed to handle master data requests.

    ü Includes providing support to any requester of master data in the form of training new users on the process, answering queries, and resolving issues.

  • Assist in the development of management systems to track tactical targets.
  • Participate in master data projects and leadership of some, internal to the master data team.
  • ü Take ownership of issues and project tasks to drive them to completion.ü Lead small to medium projects internal to the master data team for a single domain.

    ü Participate or lead test case execution.ü Propose new projects through the proactive identification of improvements to processes, business rules, and tools to assist in the reduction of defects.

    Propose new master data quality checks that would improve entry consistency.

  • Undertake regular data cleansing activities to raise and maintain the quality of each master data record to target levels.
  • ü Investigate the root cause behind reoccurring data errors which may be due to : current process not being followed, a problem with the current process, or a system issue.

  • Provide indirect leadership to non-exempt and contract employees responsible for master data entry and validation including the following.
  • ü Daily team work division and prioritization.ü Ensure daily work gets done within SLAs and quality standards.

  • Provide coordination for complex change requests, where necessary, to ensure that business processes are not disrupted by changes.
  • ü This will involve activities such as the circulation of a proposal for sign-off, the communication of a change to a specific target audience, the building of a plan for making a change and the direction of several parties in aligning their actions within that plan.

  • Provide second level support to the business in investigating and solving master data issues.
  • ü Remediate any data errors found.ü Investigate the root cause behind a business process failure.ü Be the expert and go to person for tactical business and technical issue resolution within the master data team.

  • Maintain standard work procedures for master data domain(s).
  • Leadership

  • Project leadership experience.
  • Strong planning, controlling, decision-making, as well as flexibility and personal and organizational sensitivity.
  • Functional / Business skills

  • Data base management.
  • Clear understanding in the relationship between the business and the Master Data
  • Think customer Focus.
  • Proficiency Continuous improvement approach. Developing and leading continuous improvement activities
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of master data, maintenance, documentation, and coordination.
  • Experience dealing with high volume transactions and performance accountability.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, outlook, Power Point).
  • An aptitude for working with technology and technical concepts
