The 2nd level Application Support Specialist provides consultation, guidance and problem solving expertise with respect to complex technical issues of infrastructure, design, methods, and tools to ensure that a robust, maintainable, high quality, standards-compliant business applications software environment is developed and maintained with any weak links removed.

The position also leads and supports internal improvement initiatives and programs andEnsures that all agreed targets, SLA's and Metrics are met.


  • Application (2nd level) Support
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Maintains quality standards and policies
  • Provides advice and guidance to less experienced colleagues
  • Liaises with staff responsible for the development of system enhancements to overcome known problems or further fulfill user requirements
  • Supports delivery of build projects through its lifecycle (focus on user and technical acceptance testing (UAT / TAT), RTP and post implementation support)
  • Maintains an awareness of current developments in technical specialism(s)

  • OS : Strong administration skill of Windows Server 2012 / 2016, Windows 10
  • Understanding of networking in general and deep understanding of the following services / technologies : DNS, AD / LDAP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, VPN
  • Good knowledge of one of the application servers : WebSphere Application server (WAS), WebLogic, Apache tomcat
  • SQL syntax understanding
  • Basic understanding of MS SQL administration or another SLQ server
  • Experience with designing and debugging in two or more of the following languages : C#, PowerShell, Java, vbscript, javascript, html
  • Experience with application support
  • Advanced English (written and spoken)
  • Advantage will be additional experience with :
  • OS : Experience with IBM i Client is a plus

    iSeries (AS / 400) basic troubleshooting knowledge

    Any experience with Infor System 21

    Programming skills (AS400 CL ...)

    Experience with corporate environment

    Accounting& financial knowledge
