Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating demand management, forecast creation and related business processes.
Partners with stakeholders to identify / implement opportunities for business process improvement to effectively manage costs, integrate new and existing businesses, and adapt to changes in the business and regulatory environment.
Time horizon is typically focused oneighteenmonths for forecasting / planning. Leading and working with cross-functional teams, creates and implements plans that enable the execution of business strategies.
Participates in the process by which demand signals are developed, validated for alignment with transition plans, supply constraints identified, and an executable plan defined that meets financial and market share goals.
Scope includes business execution processes related to lifecycle planning NPI, Sustaining and End of Sale projects.Partners cross-
functionally to develop, track and manage business metrics for the organization (MAPE, Bias and Volatility).
Manages a broad range of moderately complex supply chain processes, such as inventory analysis and planning, demand management,and import / export operations typically with a large or complex global business unit.
Identifies opportunities for process improvement and develops recommendations.
Independently executes the demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.
Gathers demand data from country, region and account managers to synthesize information using complex analyses, and delivers demand signals to the supply base to contribute to demand forecasting.
Reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Contributes to priority projects with complex analyses and assists in developing recommendations.
Communicates requirements and guidelines to the regional and global business unit planning teams.
Mentors junior-level staff.
Maintenance of business tools and team reports that are critical for day to day activities.
Education and Experience Required :
First level university degree or equivalent experience; may have advanced university degree.
Typically 2-4 years of experience in a supply chain function.
Knowledge and Skills :
Strong understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make, deliver).
Very strong analytical and data modeling skills (statistical forecasting models).
Very Strong communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
Strong understanding of the company's overall supply chain strategy.
End to end knowledge of supply chain processes and impact of forecast outcome to inventory, supply and backlog / shortages.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of S&OP process and correlation to Demand Planning.
