This position is a leadership role within the LAPTC responsible for the regional Vendor Maintenance Team. The role reports into the LAPTC lead and works closely with BP&O’s appropriate Global Business Process Owners.

Through subject matter expertise & management, the Vendor Master Team Leader role is accountable for Vendor Maintenance review & approval performed within the LAPTC including management of :

  • performance of daily service delivery activities
  • achievement of targets & other business commitments
  • resource & workload planning activities
  • P2P community support
  • audits & other compliance related activities support
  • continuous improvement activities
  • As part of Global Procurement’s Business Process & Operations team, the Procurement Transaction Centers (PTC) are a network providing procurement P2P shared services in support of Pfizer’s overall P2P Processes.

    Within the network, this role is a key point of contact for stakeholders in the P2P community working in the region. The person holding this position must understand how the PTCs work with other aspects of Global Procurement.

    The role requires balanced people skills that allow the individual to engage colleagues in all P2P roles including End-Users (Business), Global Financial Services (GFS), Business Technology (BT), BP&O Regional Teams, and Global Procurement Regional Sourcing teams to help achieve Pfizer’s objectives.

    This role may be called on to act in behalf of the LAPTC lead in his / her absence.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate operational results through metrics & other reporting activities
  • Understand & manage new requirements, services, capabilities and / or tools to be deployed
  • Manage compliance to policies, procedures & processes :

  • Remain up to date on applicable policies, procedures & guidelines
  • Maintain relationships with key compliance resources & groups
  • Proactively identify areas of concern and work with appropriate parties to understand & improve
  • Support the broader P2P community as required :

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the region
  • Ensure appropriate reporting & analysis
  • Engage stakeholders & internal customers to improve service delivery
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in relevant areas : in Vendor Master Data for United States and Latin America countries.
  • in supervisory rolesin shared services or operations environmentin procurement, finance or related field

  • Demonstrated experience & abilitylead a team of peopleleverage analytical & communication skills to effectively achieve resultsidentify & work with the appropriate groups to influence potential changes / work in a matrix organizationAbility to understand the implications process & technical changes will have on operational activities
  • Language skills : Fluent in English required, Portuguese desired & another language(s)
  • Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, procurement & Business Intelligence systems
  • Project Management skills
