About the role :
The IP Protection program focuses on evaluating Facebook’s confidential internal initiatives and security posture for development projects.
By further evaluating these areas, we can better understand which variables we can manage, the risks identified, and which require security integration.
From the point of conception to down cycling, the IP Protection team works daily to protect projects and support development teams to keep confidential projects moving forward.

IP Strategy Lead Manager Responsibilities :
Develop an understanding of your assigned functional business unit and build strategic relationships with cross functional partners (XFN) to define and integrate security into programs and project roadmaps
Interpret the customer’s vision, balancing security needs / requirements in order to facilitate the necessary and appropriate IP protection services while enabling the speed of the business
Conduct intellectual property risk assessments relating to physical security and secure processes on various projects, products and other areas of concern
Compile and present the results of these assessments by documenting and communicating associated risk mitigation plans, working both with the external customer and internally with a broad cross functional security team, verbally and in writing
Provide subject matter expertise to all stakeholders involved throughout the planning, execution, and maintenance phases of Intellectual Property Protection
Represent yourself as a responsible steward for Global Security
Education / Qualifications :
B.A. preferred with two (2) years of relevant experience
Excellent computer skills and comprehension of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), as well G-Suite
Knowledge and skill in brand protection activities for in demand consumer products
Ability to respond to ambiguous situations and have the knowledge to constantly prioritize the most important work
Strong collaborator with proven ability to build successful cross functional relationships across all levels of an organization
Experience with building and maintaining relationships with external business partners
Demonstrated analytic and critical thinking skills that drive results
Able to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays and to handle on-call responsibilities as needed
Ability to travel (including internationally) with little notice to accomplish assignments and responsibilities
