We are looking for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to support our Operating Teams and influence, drive and support a variety of talent related activities.
In this role, you will coach clients on how to lead their teams, navigate and resolve employee relations issues and manage a variety of talent related programs including but not limited to workforce insights / data, talent management, talent acquisition, compensation and performance management.
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills. You are detail-oriented, execute your daily work with a sense of urgency and feel highly accountable for the work you are responsible for.
You have a deep understanding of the HR function and are eager to learn about our business. You are familiar with various HR functions and have previous experience aligning business needs with HR initiatives.
You have an unequivocal commitment to confidentiality, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. In addition, you also have strong analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and can identify areas in Calix’s processes or documentation that can be improved.
You are an effective influencer and build strong relationships with leaders and employees in person and remotely.
Support, participate and / or lead talent and culture related programs and initiatives
Provide guidance regarding talent and culture policies and programs
Provide day-to-day talent development guidance to leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, performance improvement).
Manage and resolve employee relations issues; conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring leaders to provide recruiting support, including, but not limited to creating job descriptions and communicating with candidates through the pre-hire and onboarding process.
Partner with leaders on various talent initiatives
Demonstrate solid judgement when advising clients
Run reports in Workday, analyze the data and report the findings
Participate in the coordination of site related events.
BS or BA degree required (HR, Business, Management or related field).
8 years of progressive Human Resource experience
Previous experience as an HR Generalist and as an HR Business Partner supporting sales and / or engineering in a high tech, public company is highly desirable
Previous experience using data analytics to influence and make decisions
Strong project / program management, presentation, and facilitation skills
Detail oriented, highly organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong verbal communication and professional writing skills
Independent and a strong team player
Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Previous experience with Workday is highly desirable
