Job Description

Within the team of IT infrastructure Operations, you will work in an international context in charge of the IT Operations of the servers for MS Active Directory, MS Exchange and Antivirus solution. The server infrastructure consists of 700 servers, most of them virtual servers with Microsoft Windows 2016, located in our remote sites or in our datacentres across the globe. These application are business critical to Eurofins and are operated 24/7 with processes based on ITIL.

You will work within an international level 2/3 support team as technical engineer. You will collaborate with other international teams (e.g., Network or Database) for the implementation of complex infrastructures in different sites with critical applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be in charge of:

  • Event Management.
  • Incident Handling.
  • Change Handling.
  • Improvement Processes.
  • The operational team in Eurofins has several roles from level 1 to level 3 and you will be part of the level 2/3, participating in several activities, including:

    Incident Handling:

  • Resolving of escalated incidents impacting our system.
  • Customer service and continues communication with the teams (service and departments).
  • Escalation process to the senior management (if it is necessary).
  • Change Handling:

  • Preparation, assessment of change request and follow-up the change request progression.
  • Update the inventories (CMDB).
  • Support of as subject matter expert for complex change requests.
  • Management or participation in projects:

  • Update of the platform WSUS or MDT.
  • Update of the platform MS Exchange.
  • Infrastructure Deployment services for projects.
  • Within the framework of the continuous improvement you will also participate in:

  • Improvement processes.
  • Identify actions / process which can be improved.
  • Propose transformations in several processes in order to grant efficient and effective service.
  • Task automation.
  • Identify actions /Task which could be improved/automated.
  • Problem Management.
  • Qualifications

    Experience:

  • Bachellor's Degree in IT or any related field. And/or equivalent industry certifications.
  • +3 years of prior experience in AD/Exchange.
  • Active Directory Management (Mastery).
  • MS Exchange 2010/2016 (Mastery).
  • VMWare (experience).
  • English (oral and written).
  • Scripting - PowerShell and other (experienced).
  • ITIL.
  • McAfee Antivirus.
  • Backup (NetBackup / Veeam / BackupExec / Comvault).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication English skills. Must be able to communicate with individuals with all levels of technical and non-technical skill sets (i.e. Developers, Project Managers and external Customers).
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a courteous and professional attitude.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Software troubleshooting ability for problem research and error isolation.
  • Good listening skills; problem solving and the ability to handle multiple projects/clients at once in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to handle objections and counter professionally.
  • Must have the technical aptitude to learn, apply and solve technological solutions and/or challenges.
  • Must be willing to spend the time necessary to achieve and maintain a high level of technical proficiency.
  • Personal Skills:
  • Developed problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and no more than general directions.
  • Knows when to consult with supervisor on major issues/problems, demonstrated knowledge and skills in designated areas.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to function in an environment of constant change, strong organization skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work overtime.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under medium to high stress levels.
  • Additional Information

    PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL CRITERIA:

    Eurofins has a strong focus on Performance Management system. This includes quarterly calibrations, half-yearly reviews and annual reviews. The KPIs shall be set and may vary slightly between projects. These will be clearly communicated, documented during the first 30 days of your joining.
