JOB SUMMARY
Incumbent will be responsible for the preventive maintenance optimization, spare part usage optimization, equipment, reservoirs and piping system inspections and supports utilities and facilities operations with the required technical support, process control and methods.
The individual provides technical guidance in the operations & troubleshooting of the utilities and facilities systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
Implementation and follow-up of all related energy conservation programs and initiatives
Verifying Infrastructure is adequate for operations
Development, execution and maintenance of business continuity plan
Requesting, analyze, selection, and administration of Maintenance Contracts
Purchases Requisition Generation and / or Approval
Continuous Improvement of existing Facilities Systems
Ensuring adequate use and care of facilities equipment.
Monitoring equipment life cycles and efficiency
Monitoring the maintenance system to ensure the effective use of resources to maximize equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
Participation in internal and external audits including, but not limited to, FDA / TUV / ISO and E&S.
SOP Generation, Review, compliance, and Approval
Predictive and Preventive maintenance (e.g. vibration analysis, tribology, infrared, ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, etc.)
Technical guidance, counseling on utility system to projects, troubleshooting, major repairs, design, systems configuration (electricity, water, alcohol, etc.)
Unit MRO, Including spare parts usage optimization
Utilities capacity assessment versus long range strategic plan (LRSP)
Utilities systems gap analysis, identification and prioritization
Experience on regulatory systems management like cleaning services, security, pest control and building maintenance.
POSITION QUALIFICATION
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good verbal and written communication skill. (Spanish).
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Job Knowledge :
o Troubleshooting ability on utilities equipment
o Knowledge on electrical, electronic, electromechanical control system.
o Capability to read and understand utilities manuals, operational manual, troubleshooting guide, calibration manual and schematics in order to correct utilities equipment failures.
o English communication skill.
o Proven and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot area such as mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of utilities machines and systems.
Must be able to use heavy tools / equipment
Must be able to climb stairs for painting walls and carpentry / masonry activities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Needs to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, or feel.
Realize moderate physical efforts. Lift objects with maximum weight up to 50 pounds.
Needs close vision.
Applies good communication skills to perform work, speaks clearly and persuasively in positive situations and accepts feedback from others.
Incumbent could be exposed to fume of chemicals.
EXPERIENCE
At least five to seven years of experience working in utilities maintenance related to medical devices or pharmaceutical industry.
EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably Electro Mechanical Engineering.
