What You’ll Do
Will work closely with different team members and other countries business and IT personnel leading testing automation projects, researching and evaluating new tools and technologies, leading the continuous improvement process of the GCP QA and software development functions.
Will also support the onboarding, training and will grow the technical skills of new hires and colleagues, to build and maintain a solid technical knowledge base in the team to continue exceeding our partners expectations and delivering high quality software solutions.
Will require deep expertise in Quality Assurance, Software Development, Testing automation, release management, configuration management.
Will require a lot of software development to automate test cases, pick development frameworks, develop scripts, test them, evaluate new tools and make recommendations to QA management for implementations.
Deeply involved in the definition of technical goals for the QA COE in Costa Rica.
Will be constantly researching and evaluating new tools, technologies, industry trends, running pilots and proposing changes to what we currently have in our GCP organization for QA automation.
Will be working closely with me and our business partners and QA analysts to identify their current status and look for opportunities to add more value improving their processes, tools and / or automated solutions.
Will be sharing knowledge, training the rest of the team members on complex testing automation solutions and frameworks.
Will own the effort, the framework, the innovation and will make sure the knowledge and solutions are shared across the organization promoting standardization and avoiding duplicate efforts or continue using archaic legacy tools or processes that do not add value.
Will lead and coordinate other team members dedicated to automation efforts to better serve our partners and been able to spread standardized automation best practices and tools across the entire organization, not only one project not only one team.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a quality engineer or quality analyst
Minimum of 5 years of experience with deployments teams, resolving issues for systems, coordination with product teams, and offering feedback on the testability of functional elements and product designs
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an agile development environment, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and development of Test Automation Frameworks on multiple application platforms like API, Web, etc and should have exposure to Behaviour Driven Development.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with test harness strategies and various tools like TestNG, Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, soapUI, Java etc.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CICD strategy and tools (Jenkins) within cloud environments like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with agile project tracking software like Jira or VersionOne.
Minimum of 2 years of development of test plans and ability to measure product quality & code quality.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tracking test results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status, performance baselines etc.
Strong communication skills (B2-C1 Level BELT)
Strong team leadership skills
Extra Points for any of the Following
Exposure / experience with Rego query language and / or other similar policy-based scripting
Exposure / experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA) and / or Styra software
Understanding of JSON structures and how they are used in software development
Familiar with Terraform and how it relates to building cloud resources in GCP, AWS, etc.
Experience with GitHub.
