As the Director of Technical Program Management for Commerce, we are seeking a strong leader to oversee the portfolio of projects and personnel that drive Adobe’s commerce and revenue related projects.
This individual will manage a worldwide team of Technical Program Managers (TPgM’s) delivering complex technical bodies of work, while ensuring the health of the portfolio related to resources, planning, and optimized execution is second to none.
What you’ll do
Coach, mentor, and manage a worldwide team of TPgM’s, ensuring the collective progression of talent and performance; as the project complexities grow, so must the investment and skill progression of our people.
Manage all aspects of the portfolio, including project execution tracking, resource planning and management, risks / issues remediation, status reporting, budget management, and is the general go to person for details & status for anything related to commerce.
Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Engineering, and business partners to execute against Adobe’s commerce strategies.
Effectively engage with people at all levels : from front-line team members to VPs, SVPs, and C-level executives, communicating continuously to partners throughout the organization, including C-level executives.
Implement best-practices on program, pushing the envelope on the value-add that the Technical Program Management role brings to Adobe.
Understand and bring clarity to complex technical challenges, and successfully articulate and navigate through options that deliver the best customer experience
Participate with management teams in creating materials and models used for quarterly and annual recasting of initiatives and priorities.
Create material(s) that can be consumed at various levels of the organization from executive-level presentations, to finite-level materials to be consumed by project / program teams.
Be relentless on focus and prioritization; ensuring ALL team members have clear line of sight on the must nails , and that you’ve pivoted all elements accordingly to ensure success.
What you need :
BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline or experience; technical in nature w / a deep passion for understanding the what, why, and how the machinery works
Self-starter w / 10+ years of progressive project / program management experience overseeing a large scale B2C / B2B portfolio;
experience managing in a Fortune 500 company preferred
Deep industry knowledge in Commerce, as it relates to both the customer experience, payment routing, billing optimization, etc.
in both a B2C + B2B market.
Experience managing a portfolio in an always on cloud / services based organization; driving resiliency and optimizations to ensure a positive customer experience every time.
Be able to work well across organizations and forum relationships with a globally-diverse workforce
Solid knowledge of the Scrum methodology, portfolio management, resource management, business process management, and budget management
Previous experience with projects related to PCI, PII, ISO or other compliance-related work a plus.
