What You’ll Do
Relentless automation of all automatable processes and services
Enabling Self-Service capabilities to the development teams for the tribe services.
Define and implement health checks and alerts within Equifax’s monitoring tools.
Write scripts to enhance monitoring, alerting, automatic recovery and other system administration tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software and networking.
Perform root cause and data / log analysis and recommend improvements.
Research optimum configurations including integrations with other tools.
Keep up with and recommend patch levels for reliability and security.
Build and execute performance tests and analyze their results; identify possible bottlenecks, performance constraints, record benchmarks and degradation in system performance.
Create evergreen documentation of processes and system configuration.
Work with Vendor Support to resolve issues.
Define Disaster Recovery plans and participate in DR exercises.
Keep licensing up to date for all tools.
2 Years of experience with an operating system and its commands / utilities at a user level such as editing files, issuing commands, finding user home directories, navigating through a file system, and using I / O redirection. Linux a must
2 years of experience of proven knowledge of Bash / Powershell scripting. Python, Perl, Ruby, Node.
1 year experience integrating with 3rd-party systems using REST or SOAP APIs.
2 Years of experience understanding the SDLC and Agile processes.
English Proficiency ( BELT B2 or higher)
Extra Points for any of the Following
Have a general understanding of Networks, Load Balancers, Proxies, GTMs, LTMs.
Familiarity with Monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, Apica, WireShark. Splunk.
Experience using Putty, FTP, WinSCP, Active Directory, Apache, Databases (Oracle, Postgres, SQLServer), Java, SQL is a plus.
Effective team player.
Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Experience with Atlassian tools is a plus.
Using and scripting for testing / load generating tools is a plus.
