RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides on-going 2nd level support, including troubleshooting and resolving incidents and fulfilling service requests, for Evonik’s Inspect to Quality solutions, SAP Quality Management and LabVantage LIMS as well as customized solutions for the Inspect to Quality process, in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manages the run activities of Evonik’s Inspect to Quality solutions.
  • Identifies areas with high support demand caused for example by process inefficiencies or insufficient training or testing and proposes ideas for improvement.
  • Identifies issues by root-cause analysis and coordinates with Quality Management Build team and other organizational units within IT to eliminate the problems.
  • Participates in the review of existing knowledge articles for the relevant process. Follows-up with authors / reviewers as needed in cases where target dates are missed.
  • Proposes additional ideas for knowledge articles and assigns authors, reviewers, and target dates.

  • Identifies areas where there is a need for knowledge transfer workshops, to enable the 1st and / or 2nd level support teams to support an existing or new processes and solutions.
  • Help organize and schedule the workshops.

  • Works closely with the Quality Management Build team and other organizational units within IT to ensure a smooth transition of new Inspect to Quality functionalities.
  • Take care of knowledge management and transfer of knowledge to colleagues.
  • Provides ad hoc training to end-users on Evonik best practice solutions.
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree, preferably in the field IT, Business, Engineering or a comparable education.
  • Strong analytical and learning skills, ability to understand complex situations.
  • A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work with a diverse international team with colleagues in Germany, the United States, Costa Rica and Malaysia.
  • Service oriented and ability to travel for SAP know how transfer.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English.
  • Solid understanding of business processes of Quality Management including Quality Planning, Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Cross functional knowledge on SAP Quality Management module integration with Procurement, Sales and Distribution, Production and Notifications.
  • Well versed SAP Quality Management Master Data (Master Inspection Characteristics : Quantitative & Qualitative) and good understanding of Inspection Method, Sampling Procedure, Inspection Plan, Info record and CoA.
  • Minimum of fifteen years’ experience supporting SAP Quality Management.
  • Has undergone a minimum of one full cycle implementation experience.
  • Experience in supporting LIMS is desirable.
  • Experience in supporting SIFbA forms; specifically, CoA and CoC is desirable.
  • Certified SAP Professional and working experience in S4 / HANA 1809 environment is a plus.
