The Payroll Auditor and Data Analyst is responsible for supporting the different Payroll teams to Identify discrepancies between Master data (Workday) and Payroll Systems across the globe.

  • This will be accomplished by coordinating with the Payroll teams of Smith & Nephew from all regions (presently processing Payroll for 17,000+ employees) to get the reports containing employee information such as Cost Center, Names, Salary information, FT vs PT employees, periodicity and Paygroups;
  • in a timely manner to conduct the audits annually (starting in May for Salary audit and personal data audit can be done at any time of the year), and provide back the discrepancies to be worked between HR and Payroll teams depending on where the discrepancy is found.

    These reports are summarized and shared with HR Lead team once a year to provide visibility and plan on any action needed.

    Additionally, the Payroll auditor will be in charge of supporting Payroll teams on Continuous improvement initiatives to standardize and automate Payroll processes and Audit processes, using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Kaizen events and work with the different experts on implementations (RPA, Artificial Intelligence, etc).

    Responsibilities : (Please specify % amount against each responsibility)

    1. Power BI Dashboards for Global reporting on KPIs and CAPA log. Working with the Payroll Managers to assure adoption and the proper use of the CAPA log. 10%

    2. Automate Audit process for Global reviews. 5%

    3. Coordinate the work done with Americas, APAC and EMEA Payroll Auditors. 15%

    4. Payroll Expert for Continuous improvement initiatives : VSMs, Design Thinking, Kaizen Events. 10%

    5. Coordinate with Payroll Managers and the different experts on implementations. 10%

    6. Conduct the annual data audits globally. 15%

    7. Prepare and provide the executive summary audit report to HR Lead Team. 15%

    8. Work with HRIS, GBSHR, HR and Payroll teams to gather the information and to make the proper corrections on the discrepancies found. 10%

    9. Identify opportunities to standardize and automate the reports for audits. 5%

    10. Biweekly audit for US Payroll : rate changes, new hires and terminations. 5%

    Education (required grade and area) :

    Required :

    Degree in Accounting or Business Administration related field or equivalent.

    Advanced Excel ( Macro)

    Power BI.

    Six Sigma Yellow Belt.

    Licenses / Certifications (please prioritize and specify required and nice to have) :

    Project Management certification

    Data Analytics training

    Experience (please prioritize and specify required and nice to have) :

    Required

    A. +3 years of processing Payroll experience at a large company (1500+ employees).

    B. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

    C. Experience with Workday is desired

    D. Advanced English Level

    E. Stakeholder Management

    F. ADP, Softland, Peoplesoft Payroll experience

    G. Data Analytics skills
