MSD’s Business Service Center (BSC), located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes.

The BSC Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across MSD business divisions and markets for the Americas region.

The Procurement Support Senior Analyst will support the Source to Settle (StS) process at MSD includes integrated and interdependent transactional activities in the following 3 areas which are led by Global Process Owners :

Procure to Pay / Settle

Employee Expense Management

Main Responsibilities :

Provide transactional support to employees working in the StP space or using StP services, including in the BSCs

Resolve global transactional issues and deviations as needed and address process performance Anomalies

Ensure the application of adequate internal controls

Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and propose innovative solutions, agreed with the BSCs, adopted globally so the StP function can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner

Assure root cause analysis of errors and non-compliant items are being performed and corrective actions are being implemented

Collaborate with other Process Stewards (Procure to Pay / Settlement, Accounting to Reporting, Master Data ) in all MSD’s divisions to ensure continuity and alignment across global end-to-end processes

Main Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting department of a multinational company preferred and 2 years in current position

Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience (Procurement Sourcing, e-sourcing and Contract) with a demonstrated record of customer focus and project delivery

Ability to implement support around a long term vision and milestones needed to drive realization of that vision

SAP Experience

Strong customer service and collaboration mind-set

Problem solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style to implement new processes

Business Level fluency (oral and written) in Spanish and English languages

Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

Preferred requirements :

Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects

Project Management skills

Willingness to travel for meetings and projects (-10% of the time)

Willingness to attend or conduct remote meetings during off hours (-5% of the time)

Business Level fluency (oral and written) in Portuguese

Pharmaceutical industry experience is an advantage
