Successful candidates for this position will join an application / customer engineering to provide technical support for the QCOM customers in the design, development and commercialization of their wired and WLAN infrastructure connectivity products, such as WiFi AP GW.
Responsibilities : This position is for an experienced WLAN / Embedded system Staff software engineer with strong technology background, problem solving and communication skills.
As software engineer customer support team, the major technical area where the individual works for will be WLAN (Wi-Fi) driver / firmware, networking protocol, WLAN-related software on Linux OS, enabling embedded system and other components required to enable a networking platform.
The daily work could include customer training, issue debugging, testing and feature development. The individual will also support customers to integrate Qualcomm WLAN solution into their product and support them from design phase to mass production.
The individual will be interacting with marketing teams, product managers, sales team, and development teams to help resolve customer issues.
The ideal candidate will possess the following :
Strong C / C++ programming skills
7+ years experience in embedded platform development (Linux prefer)
Understanding of 802.11 family protocol (PHY, MAC and security)
Experience on WLAN driver, hostapd and wpa supplicant
Familiar with TCP / IP and Networking protocols(DHCP, ICMP, Bridging, routing and etc)
Experience with open source wifi driver ath10k and ath11k MUST
Experience with programming on Linux is a MUST
Experience with Linux network drivers is desirable
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to perform under pressure.
Willingness to travel when needed.
Experience in OpenWRT or QSDK
Strong understanding of Linux OS kernel
Familiar with Linux software debugging
Experience in Bluetooth or Zigbee
Experience in Ethernet switch and protocols
Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems
Work Experiences :
5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
