Engineering Manager, Document Cloud
Adobe’s Reliability Engineering team is looking for an experienced engineering manager to help build and operate the Document Cloud’s global microservice infrastructure.

We are looking for an accomplished, hands-on engineering manager in a large-scale SaaS business with a strong desire to implement initiatives and systems to scale and secure the infrastructure.
We need someone familiar with devops and other agile methods who thrive on solving problems in real-time under pressure.
This role is a key leadership role for microservice infrastructure development in the Document Cloud as well as within the larger reliability engineering team.
You will work closely with engineering, product, quality, and security teams to enable velocity and quality in delivering features and goodness to our customers.

Meet or beat the key performance indicators including rate of change (both successful and unsuccessful), availability, and security controls effectiveness
Provide leadership in scheduling resources to meet the needs of teams in engineering, security, product, and qe , both in terms of task assignment and project prioritization as well as support and time-zone coverage
Personnel management of a team of technical operations and devops engineers involving check-ins and other performance management processes, annual rewards, career mentorship, skills development, and some administrative functions
Serve as project manager or scrum master for major initiatives
Serve as hands -on technical contributor to the evolving architecture where applicable
Deliver automated infrastructure as a service for resources like DNS, email, site status and log management
Liase with other teams to align priorities and milestones
Implement security controls including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC2, and FedRAMP. Security testing experience desired, but not required
Deliver infrastructure as a code, automated wherever possible, for resources like DNS, log management and code deployments
Assist in the creation and refinement of operational documentation
A bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent four-year degree
3 to 5 years of personnel management experience, preferably with people in multiple locations + remote
8+ years of experience in devops roles of increasing scale and complexity
Strong programming skills, particularly with Python, Java, and Go
Experience running a high-volume, large-scale system with at least thousands of servers in several locations, preferably with disaster recovery
Modern technical management skills (scrum / kanban / agile / ci-cd / 12-factor)
Experience in all the common technologies in a modern cloud-based SaaS offering : Jenkins, Git, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Linux, DNS, E-mail, containers, log analysis, monitoring, Java, Apache, Tomcat, Memcached, Qpid, and MySQL on Linux
Familiarity with Prometheus, Cortex, Grafana, NewRelic, Prometheus, and Splunk
Ability to craft persuasive arguments, effective documents, and compelling presentations
Experience building and implementing security controls
Experience implementing Chef, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. in a multi-cloud environment
Prior GovCloud experience running services at FedRAMP moderate or higher
